You can, I've got EUR and JPN games on mine. It just has to have region free spoofing or you can use rxTools.

You can still install and play them with Rxtools or a region free spoof. The file extension is the same. Just install to EmuNAND and provided one of the above is available to you they will run.

Next time use this https://gbatemp.net/threads/wip-safesysupdater.409392/ instead of sysupdater and be sure to download the correct downgrade pack for your CONSOLE version.
