I can't understand why some people just absolutely cannot wait a few days before going online. What are you afraid of missing out, huh ? Trading some low level pokemon ? Battling underdeveloped pokemon with no strategy whatsoever ? Or maybe use some Plaza function that doesn't really affect the game in a meaningful way ?
Gosh, if you're in EU, just wait pass the 23rd to go online. You can still enjoy the game offline till that time.

So like, i have my brother's 3DS which isn't banned. I dumped its LocalFriendSeed_B and injected it on mine (after properly keeping a backup of mine of course), however i still get 002-0102 upon checking my friends list. Do i have to do anything else, like replacing my movable.sed for example? I dumped mine again and compared it on hxd to make sure it was my brother's and it is, but he's definitely not banned right now.
Injected in sysnand ? Emunand ?

So can anyone test a system transfer between 2 unbanned consoles to see if it generates a new movable.sed? I can possibly test in several hours if not. If I do end up being the one to test, does it matter if the source system has a linked NNID or not?

Could someone explain me about the Transfer proceed to generate New moveseed?? I have 4 3ds by now, one of them (the one I personally use) banned with both bans. If I have understood, if I use the luma trick to avoid ban 022 and then I Transfer from my unbanned console to the banned one y Will have no ban in any of them?? I'm reffering to 002 ban. Also Id like to keep my NNID because I bought a lot of things there, have someone banned called Nintendo asking for it??
Thanks

it wouldn't matter, the movable alongside with the nnid get transferred to the receiver, that much is well known, what is speculated is that the sender will generate a new movable

I just realized the reason our NNIDs and consoles were banned from the Nintendo Network.

Mario Maker, from my understanding, requires access to the Nintendo Network to download maps. Just a thought on WHY the 022 ban was given out.

So they did this to prevent players from playing Mario Maker

Maybe? You'd probably have to unlink your NNID as well.
yeah but that would in theory pass the clean movable.sid to the banned device, and generate a new one in the unbanned, effectively giving 2 clean seeds in place of a banned one and a clean one
EDIT:and with unlinking the NNID it means you get to use it if it wasn't banned if a perm solution to the eshop banned is found after

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
