Hacking Hard Drive For Wii Game Backups

I'm new to all this. I recently had my Wii soft modded with Homebrew. I need to buy an external hard drive to run my wii backups. I understand a lot of people have had issues with the 3.0, but that's all that seems to be available in a decent price range. I honestly suggest grabbing an externally-powered SATA enclosure and a normal HDD, be it in 2.5" or 3.5" format and using that instead of pre-built external drives - gives you more flexibility and you're always 100% sure that the drive has enough power (some enclosures require using a Y-USB cable because the console does not provide enough power to run the drive properly).

That drive works.
I have one myself, just an older model.
Just be aware they frequently are subject to dataloss if you are not careful.
Use the "eject" feature when transferring files and Wii games to it.

If anything I think they would have fixed the data loss issues.
Btw, mine was a USB 3.0, and the Wii works fine with it.
