Not true. Mine is a Euro version. All my NTSC roms work fine. Most of my PAL roms work ok but for one or two which need patching.

Both US and European SNES minis prefer the NTSC rom. There is no difference in this regard

Then its in WIIUBricker's ballpark to 'prove' his claims then, with actual video, and which roms were throwing up the 'region/PAL' warnings for him....

He claims he never tried to test "Pal" roms, but only NTSC roms, and some were throwing up the "PAL" you can't use this in this region warning.

the software of a Europe and a US Mini SNES is the same.

the difference are comsetic nature!
thats the design of the system menu that are equal to the shell and the button colours!
the rest of the system is the same.

Pal games working not on a europe mini snes.
and some pal games that are patched to ntsc give a warning that its not a pal konsole and dont start.
after a region unlock to ntsc they work.

my version is a europe version.

when the europe version other is then the us version then must be hakchi have a thrid selection for the region version like it has for the japanese mini snes version.

and a other thing is that nintendo said here in germany that the games are only in english is because its the ntsc version of the games with what the console works.
and when there would be a extra pal version then would be the games in different language like german, spain or france!
but the games are only englisch.

Press start and select to bring up the menu. Go to Settings, then Video. Change the Aspect Ratio to Custom and adjust the X and Y positions and Width and Height to fit. You may have to disable the Interger Scale setting to be able to adjust the width and height correctly.
Thanks, it fit perfectly when I changed the Aspect Ratio to Custom without changing any X and Y values :)

I have attached the border for people who want to try it out. speakers.cfg is for 4:3 mode and ppspeakers.cfg is for pixel-perfect mode. For the pixel-perfect mode just change Aspect Ratio to Config, it will fit automatically. To install it, just drag speakerborders.hmod to the hakchi windows and follow the instructions. Credit goes to @kongsnutz whose file I have edited myself.

Ok that is the definitley the warning for trying to run PAL game on NTSC... All that proves is that the system is a NTSC based system, and doesn't like 'Pal" until its fully patched to bypass the warning.

There is no evidence of the reverse, of 'NTSC on Pal" warning which one would expect to say something like: "This Pak is not designed for your Super NES" To indicate that its NTSC game trying to run on PAL.

@flinto @Baggins Maybe this should clarify things.
A little but its still not true. Pal roms region locked such as illusion of time do not work on the Euro SNES mini just like it doesnt work on the US

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Same rom, pal version using retroarch
My friend dont work, me work. ¿Why?
Latest version of hakchi has an option to patch games. It doesnt work for me but i havnt patched yet.

How do you fix that annoying issue where if you have too few games on the screen (I think), when you scroll to the ones on the far end, the scroll bar jumps around all crazy? I dont know if I'm explaining this right, but someone has to know what I'm talking about. Is there a way to fix this?

Spoke to Tom Fulp the other day, if he can find his old Newgrounds site content like the mini Flash animations from the 2000's that played on the portal.

So far no response, but he did say that he'll find them. Wayback Machine doesn't have em.

@SylverReZ, atleast the 1999 versión of pico's school is avaliable (the difference between it, the 2006 versión and the 2016 versión is that the speed of the game depends of the speed of your computer and that it had the og soundtrack)

@Xdqwerty, Another being Pico VS Bear, the original 1999 version before Jim Henson filed a DMCA takedown.

The 2006 versión was made when the flash portal was made

@SylverReZ, although the "secrets" system where the game was has been removed. Also pico vs uberkids had a netplay versión that was shutdown, although the swf file has been found
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Nope. There are two download buttons on the same page, where you can download the original under a file called "bear.exe". "bear2.exe", however, is the updated game in a Flash projector. P.s. this was on the archived Pico page from 2000.
