Ahhhh.... That should work, then. I have had folders, within folders on the NESCE GUI and they showed up fine. What version of hakchi are you running?

You created a new folder. And put the game inside the new folder then put the new folder in your megaman folder and it showed up right in hakchi but didn't show up after sync?
Yep did all these things. What other version is there? 2.12.

Thank you for the info! Question, how do you download the cores from github? Is there a zipfile I can get in the link you posted?
*Sigh…* Why do I keep updating the readme if no one reads it?
It's all there:
How to use this
  1. Go to "releases" tab and download the newest release.zip
  2. Unpack release.zip anywhere you want
  3. Copy retroarch.hmod and the cores you want (.hmod files from cores and extra_cores folders) to user_mods directory of Hakchi2.
  4. Install the modules (all modules can be installed in one go) via Hakchi2's Modules menu.
  5. Add the games as usual

The newest version is now 0.4.1:
https://github.com/pcm720/retroarch-clover/releases/latest
Changes:
  • Apparently, there is a bug in the snes9x2010 core that causes it to create 5 MB savestates (thus rapidly filling up NES Mini's data partition). Because of that, we're using snes9x2005 as a main core from now on.
Here's the bug on libretro's snes9x2010 GitHub repo:
https://github.com/libretro/snes9x2010/issues/89

snes9x2010:
Code:

FDS games and side switching...

There are still a number of FDS games that do not like (or rather do not function) the emulators one button disk switching... Mysterious Murasame Castle for example... I haven't found a copy of the 3DS Virtual Console rom to test it out (since it seems to be modified to remove the FDS related stuff), to see if it doesn't require disk switching...

I tested out the FDS rom on Murasame castle with retroarch 'Fceumm", but it also doesn't seem to allow for disk flipping either... Is there a way to get around this and get Murasame castle working? Or short of that something that can patch the FDS rom into the same format as the virtual console version (if that is a viable alternative)?

I created a set of custom folders for anyone to use https://gbatemp.net/attachments/orange-folders-with-custom-chars-zip.79361/ Enjoy!

Select I believe... It has been a while!

Actually it seems you have to hit select and a at almost the same time... or right after you push a. It's kinda finicky though.

Hey, I'm balls deep in Terranigma for the SNES and don't want to lose my save. I should just wait until I finish the game to update to 2.13 and upload some different roms?

Could winXP/Vista use the newest function like hakchi2 2.13e at next version(hakchi2 2.14)?The issue "Waiting for the device" is so hard to solve for me.It recently only uses hakchi2 2.11.Hopefully!!!

Hi Hakchi NESCE community. With so much changing in the last week, and with such a positive response from my first video (thank you all!) I have made a new one which covers Hakchi2 v2.12e. I try to walk the line between first time user noob and veteran. I don't get into custom hmods or bios stuff in this but I hope there is something in here for everyone and you find it useful. Thanks.

I switched to Nestopia, same issue. Doesn't switch disks with a single button press.. Is there a way to manually flip disks in the settings?
I can't switch disk without retroarch too. I hope you have got retroarch menu in Mini. Look at this video please : . Thanks to Nesito. Rgs.

Anyone get Pinbot working for NES? I tried it with RetroArch (by adding --retroarch to the end of the command line arguments) but just get a gray screen then it shoots me back to the home screen. The same thing happens for a translated version of Dragon Ball Z 3 aka Dragon Ball Z III: Ressen Jinzōningen. I haven't updated to 2.13e yet. Has anyone else had these games working for them?

Dam this makes sense on why people were having trouble saving certain amount of snes games.

I'm coming to test them. I use US roms (U!). Pin-Bot should work without problem : it's weird. Dragon Ball Z III: Ressen Jinzōningen work in taping --retroarch --core nestopia. Update of course to 2.13e and https://github.com/pcm720/retroarch-clover/releases/latest. Rgs.

it works for me . added the game ,dident Change anything .

So there is a way to get it working that's good to know... Anyway to keep those disk switching commands 'saved' so you don't have to go back into the menu every time?

Also someone needs to pull out this rom (from the 3DS Virtual Console version), and see how its functioning...? Notice there is no disk switching screen at all. Maybe that one plus an English patch could be the 'ultimate' version?

What's the best way to work at determining if a game issue is due to the ROM or something else? I have no problems with most NES, SNES and Genesis games I've tried so far. I tried different ROMs NHL 98 for Genesis/Megadrive and each time I get past the in game main menu and controller select it seems to freeze. This with both the picodrive and Genesis_plus_gx emulators. Would next step be trying later hacked revisions as opposed to the U.S. known good dumps with [!]?

So any possibility of adding in support for the Sharp X1 Hudson/Nintendo games through a retroarch module?
