The Wii Classic controller is most optimal, since it has the extra buttons needed to access advanced cologne settings. Did you try the options I laid out? And, I still need a test example of a game that has text issues, so I can personally try it:)

But Cologne is not an emulator, it is a program that converts Coleco to GBA by inserting an emulator and a bios into a GBA file, that runs on MGBA, so there is no accessing Cologne from the NESC, because it ain't there.

All the converted games have sprite flickering and a bad sound

I mean, a game with bad text, that is not easy to read. And, give me a game that you have encountered bad sprite flickering with?

All the games have that, Smurf, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong jr.
It has nothing to do with the bios, it is has to do how Cologne, converts Coleco games to MGBA, the emulator is just not perfect, the author admits that.

The flickering issue, I did not notice. I used option to disable flickering. It seemed to clean things up. One thing I might note, that I recall from my Colecovision Days, that is sort of interesting. I had an ADAM COMPUTER, which had a colecovision add-on, which played both colecovision AND atari 2600 games. I am not entirely sure colecovision games worked on atari 2600. But, I definitely remember running all of my 2600 games on the colecovision! Wouldn't it be funny, if we were able to simply rename the .col extension to .a26, and run them on stella, heh:)

Try it, but i doubt it will work, i am only interested in running the Coleco games on the NESC, i have my original Coleco with a dozen games.
But post some of your coleco conversions, let us see how they work out.

Posted a video of how I handled things. It really is the best you can do, considering.

Anyone know if the mini can read .bin files? I have a correctly translated Phantasy Star 2 rom, and I can only find a Spiderman v Kingpin rom in .bin format. Will these work or does it have to be .md?

Hello everyone I'm new to this site I've been trying to get answers but I'm just not getting them. But I have an NES Mini and I tried to mod it and it just didn't go so well, now my NES is stuck with unwanted files and 1 file folder that brings me to half the original 30 games and the same folder brings me to the other half of the 30 games. I want to know if anyone knows how to reset the NES Classic mini back to the way it was? I was looking at a video on how to do it on YouTube but the link isn't working or letting me download it, if you guys have the right link so I can reset it again please reply, thank you all and hope to hear your answers soon.

Hey guys, this is my first post on this forum. First, I just wanted to thank all of you for your contributions to this thread. I have learned so much about the NES Classic through these 480 plus pages.

I have had no problems getting TMNT, TMNT2, Simpsons, and the WWF Arcade Games to work using the MAME2003. All of these arcade games work fine. However, I have had no luck getting Jurassic Park to work. Has anyone had success getting that arcade game to work? If so, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello. This is my first post here in the forums.

I was wondering how can I compress PS1 or Sega Saturn games to have them run on the NES Classic?

Uninstall all hmods ...Flash the mini back using the original kernal(dump). Then uninstall hakchi...turn on the mini, and up top in the UI, select options then go down to "reset back to factory settings"

Hello. This is my first post here in the forums.

Search for ripped PS1 images using Google, those files usually have FMV clips and music removed. The smallest PSX Rip I could find was Ridge Racer, I believe it was less then 5MB.

Has anyone had any luck mapping a ps4 or swtich controller using the 8bitdo wireless dongle?

Everytime I try and map the should buttons the options page in retroach starts to page up and page down and I lose all other control. If I then try and do anything else I get "No Information Available". I have to uninstall the module and install it again to get control of the settings back.

I know about the ripped PSX games but I've seen some people with games that have been compressed with PSX2PSP but I have no luck with converting games on it.

Maybe this question has being asked like a million times, but with v2.16b if when you want to upload games to the system, you only need to turn your system on without pushing the reset button...
I can't get this method to work. I turn on the system and that's all that happens. No transfers or anything.
Am I forgetting some option to turn the transfer on?

9 out of 10 times, I have restarted games, even on the PC and ANDROID Mame, to bypass test screens, boot up sequences, etc. NARC was famous for this. First time you run it, you would have to let the boot sequence finish, restart game, then you were allowed to insert coins!

I actually have both battlezone and lunar lander on my Playstation 4, in the Atari Flashback Collections 1 and 2. These are phenomenal packages, and truly the best way to play them, haha. They are also on Xbox one. So, if you have either of those systems. They run spot on, for both! I love them! I am one of only 2 people to platinum Vol 1, haha. Lunar Lander reminded me of an early version of Hang Gliding like landing from Pilotwings, heh!
I just tried to restart the games. They won't restart. The game starts and then I go into the retroarch menu and hit restart and then resume. Nothing happens...for either game. I still can't get Discs Of Tron to work, even though I'm using a matching rom for the mame version.

Unless you mean to hit restart and then exit the menu instead of hitting resume ?

Lunar Lander and Battlezone don't have test screens or boot up sequences....

Hi! @Cluster

Could you make a .hmod to permanently delete the NESCE screensaver?

I would like to have that option somehow simpler... If there is a way to do it, I will be eternally grateful.

U're the boss. :grog:
