coleco would be cool. But me personally ? I'd LOVE to get an Apple II hmod....

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Byte, would you happen to know how to access the black and white mame menu ? I know that on the computer, you hit tab to make it appear and escape to make it go away. But I can't figure out how to do that on the nes classic. I looked into some of the mame2000/mame2003 menus and found something that said Mame menu where you access it by hitting a Home button. Is this the correct menu option ? In case you haven't been reading this section, I have two games, Battlezone and Lunar Lander that start just fine. But when I hit Start to begin a game, the black and white mame menu pops up and I can't figure out how to make it leave.

What is the black and white menu? What does it look like ?

the teacher hated me because i would goof on the Apple II.... my commodore 64 could run circle's around it

Okay. It seems like this is the only forum I don't get made fun of for asking this, so I'll ask again. I don't understand how to access the black and white mame menu on the classic. I know that on a computer, you hit tab to make it appear and then escape to make it disappear. But on a couple of games I have, Battlezone and Lunar Lander, the menu pops up, making the game unplayable, and I can't get rid of it. These are the only two games I have that this happens on. I looked into the retroarch menus a bit and found something that says mame menu and to do it, I press home....but the thing is, if I press home, it exits the game and goes back to the nes classic menu. I only have NES style controllers so far, so maybe when I get a Wii classic controller, I can remap the button....if that is, indeed, the correct menu option.

yeah, it doesn't make much sense to me. Battlezone and Lunar Lander are the only two arcade games that I have on my classic that give me the black and white menu when they start. Like I said, the game starts normally and then after "put in coins" and hit start to play...the menu pops up. I don't know why it would be just these two games. If it comes down to it, I can still play them on my computer.

You couldn't remap any buttons to get rid of the menu ? On a computer, you make the menu come up with TAB and make it go away with Escape. I'm still not sure what settings in the mappings you need to change to fix this....

I think this may have been brought up before, but is there any way to connect an N64 controller to the nes classic ? Or can the buttons be mapped to a controller that CAN be used on the classic ?

Hey everyone. I am having an annoying issue with my Wii Classic Controllers when playing Sega and SNES games. I have not tried to re-map the controls (I did in version 2.15, but they are back to default now). So on the default settings, without changing anything, I am unable to use the "A" button for Sega and the X/Y button on SNES. Like if I need to use a weapon or something that uses C/X/Y, I'll click every single button on the Wii Classic Controller and nothing will happen.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a guide I can use to map the controller so that the buttons work? Is Retroarch not recognizing my controller correctly?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much

FOR BETTER CLARIFICATION:

In the Retroarch control menu for an SNES game:

It's says User 1 Device Type is Retropad w/ Analog.

Is that the correct type name for Wii Classic Controller?

The SNES controls are set as:

User 1 Y: Y button (left)
User 1 X: X button (top)

I don't know where these buttons are, but I can't find them.

Sega Controls:

User 1 A: Y button (left)

I can use the B/C button but not A. The issue seems to be this Y button (left) and X button (top).

What do I change the Y Button (left) and X button (top) to? I don't know if Retroarch isn't reading my controllers properly or what. I don't know where those buttons are!

I may be able to make a colecovision hmod. Not sure if it would be compatible with the mini nes, though.

The hmod that peeps are looking for is the coleco for the nes mini. Peeps have tried Cologne, Coolcv and BlueMSX with no results.Cologne worked but the whole game output is horrible.
