Restarted PC, run as administrator, changed compatible mode but it's not launching. Hakchi 2.13 runs fine. :/
Weird. I will find Windows 10 PC and test.

Btw, let's create some custom skins!

I made very simple tool pack to do it: http://clusterrr.com/soft/nes_mini_skin_hack.zip

How to use:

1. Make sure that you are using hakchi2 v2.14 or newer, install custom kernel using it.
2. Close hakchi2 :)
3. Run "fetch_original_skin.bat", it will download original skin from your NES Mini (you connected it to PC already, right?).
4. Edit "nes.png" file with your favorite graphics editor (but not with mspaint, it doesn't support transparency)
5. Run "make_skin_mod.bat", it will create your "skin_hack.hmod" skin mod.
6. Run hakchi2 and just drag-and-drop this "skin_hack.hmod" file to it. Install your skin.
7. Enjoy!

I am now curious to see all the custom skins people will make! I know I'm going to be working on it...

Another AWESOME Update!! Thank you so much, Cluster.
Great work. Now it's fun to sync games.

Hype is gone??? NOT here!!! I still love the NES mini and hackchi.

Installed 2.14 and I'm stuck in a driver install loop, any ideas?

Ignore user problem hahah

Can you let me know what the solution was? I have same problem and hope it has the same solution.

Hakchi2.14 gets stuck "waiting for your nes mini.." when I sync for games. I can install driver but it goes right back to same waiting screen. This is strange to begin with cause I can still flash kernal and install mods just fine, and have been using hakchi2 for a while anyways with no problems.

I am on mac using virtual box running ie8/win 7 enterprise setup...but again have had no problems until now.

Any help is appreciated!
-Cheers

@Cluster Thank you for this version...but sorry for being so rude...is there a chance that we can expect some sort of sorting in the main menu, i mean, 100's of games, some with the same names, can get a bit messy.
Is it possible to make some sort of folder structure in the main menu, so that we can easily sort our games ?

that's what I want! Just something where I can click like all snes and it just checks snes games or all nes etc.

Verisons? Hype Train?
Keep updating! Lol! We actually like this right now. =D
Too bad we cant get a network ability. (Powered usb hub and then could maybe use wired ethernet, samba share folders)

So if I read this right. No longer would we need to keep power cycling to upload just to add "one more game"
Am curious how this effects game cover art.

Also thanks on the sega cd info. =D I think I may indeed put Vay on there. Just gotta see what format to convert things on. :)

So with the latest release, I can only have one folder for SNES instead of 2 (i.e. A-L, M-Z) due to the lack of 30MB limit?

I tested it on Windows 10 without any problems. Please do the following steps: https://github.com/ClusterM/hakchi2/wiki/If-you-have-any-problems

Yes, it's planned to totally recreate GUI from the scratch. But it requires many work.

There is no 30MB limit anymore.

There is no 30MB limit anymore.
About this I don't test so much 2.14 release. But in RC3 I can upload a Mega CD game about 250-270MB and ok. But if try to put 3 Mega CD isos I cannot more of about 100-120MB. With NeoGeo big size roms same problem about 150MB total games/images.

Thanks ! Going to test it and let you know. I know use my Windows 7 machine and works fine updating to Hakchi 2.14, great work the new version !

I must confest that i first copy all my 2.13 folders like games, user_mods, images etc to 2.14 Hakchi and then run it. Can that be the problem that 2.14 will now not launch on my WIN10 machine ? I downloaded it again but same issue with the new 2.14 unchanged folder structure. Anyway, going to test your debug advice.

GREEEEEEAT !

Question. Saw the youtube vid about upgrading versions.. but wondered.

Couldnt one just download the new version, extract and replace the files in the orig version we had then launch? Or would that not be advised?
