Hacking Hacking A Friends Wii Please Help.

HI,

My friend wants me to hack his wii.

The only problem is that i don't know his serial code if it is compatible.

It is a LAH11, a PAL AUstralian wii System Menu 4.0E

He tried installing Bootmii as boot2 but failed. So now you might be assuming that his wii is a LU64+

Assuming that I want a guide that would tell you how to get Back-up launchers going such as USB Loader GX for LU64+ Wii. I heard that many people get bricked if they downgrade the files.

I found some guides to tell you how but i'm not satisfied as they were not proven yet as a working guide for System Menu 4.0E


Could Someone please post me a guide that will install him USB Loader GX?

And please tell me if the guide has been proven working.

just cause it cant take boot2 install dont make it a LU64+ , did it come with 3.4 or 4.0 installed when he bought it??

how long has he had it? , had he upgraded it?

He had at 2008 christmas. and his stupid bro accidently upgraded it to 4.0 it came with 3.4

but instead of following some random persons guide on the internet to hack your $250 console.

spend a couple of days reading man and find out what your actually doing.

the method in my signature should also work according to WiiPower by launching Trucha Bug restore from cBoot2.

where hardly helping??? you just flamed another guy in his thread because he couldnt install a .wad??

theres countless LU64 threads about, and even if it aint a LU64 it wont do you any damage using the cBoot2 method anyway.

Wah? I said he can't run boot2 so whats the point and the wii cost $400 here.


EDIT: I'm sorry if i was flaming a member. I didn't know and i'm returning his wii in 4days. I want to do it now as it is the winter holidays here in australia and its ending rapidly fast.

you should actually took the time out to even read what the cBoot2 method is you rtard without expecting everything to be spoonfed to you whilst your flaming other people then you would know its ran via the BootMii IOS not the Boot2 install...

I dont really need that I'm not new to these hacking and i'm just asking for confirmation that the guide i posted worked.

And what is the best way if his wii is a LU64? Lu64s are americans and his wii is australian? is there an app that tells us if it is an unsoftmodable?
