sorry if this question has already been answered, but can this work with clone chips on mariko? and if i need to use a specific version of the script, can someone link it to me?

Fuses don't matter when booting through a payload, so yes it would work, but only for firmware versions supported by sexos

what if I can't downgrade sysnand to 11.0 bc those fuses are burnt?

Make an emunand I guess. If you think it's really worth it for an outdated CFW.

Whenever I tried to boot sxos before on my current v1 unpatched switch it would give me the error "this license is invalid for this switch" and I never could figure out how to fix that. I already have a previously created sxos emunand from an old v1 unpatched switch I used to have but my current switch won't boot it bc of the error "this license is invalid for this switch". How do I fix that license error?

If you’re hoping to play installed games from another Switch it won’t work.

dont try to swap emunands between machines. You need a new Emunand.

What you gain from SXOS is the ability to mount XCIs and only XCIs that are compatible with 11.0.0 or lower. If that’s your primary goal then here’s how you can get there.

1) get a new sd card
2) install atmosphere/hekate on the sd card
3) use Hekate to create a new 13.x Emunand
4) used Daybreak to downgrade from 13.x to 11.0.0
5) use EmuTool to make a copy of your 11.0.0 Atmosphere Emunand to an SXOS Partition based partition.
6) you will need to reformat the non emunand partition to FAT32 w’ 32k blocks using rufus
7) get a copy of SXOS 3.1.0b from the internet and drop that boot.bat on the root of your card.
8) use the steps provided in this thread to create a valid license.dat for your specific Switch.

like @hippy dave said it’s a lot of work for an outdated CFW. You will get a much more modern solution from Atmosphere which can install the XCIs (rather than mounting them of course) which is just a one time penalty to pay. After you install the XCI on Atmosphere you never have to think about mounting the XCI ever again. Unless you have a huge stash of XCI games on a USB disk then Atmosphere is the way to go.

SXOS is obsolete now. Why not make the switch to Atmosphere?

A jig is needed for old unpatched erista consoles. Mariko units doesn't have the bootrom bug anymore. That's why you need a chip in these consoles.
