Well, I DIDN'T install ios56, and it still works fine (even tested DS linkability)

IOS56 was for WiiSpeak afaik. Not sure why it was included with GH5, but I cannot see a need for it at all.

Is there a difference between installing 222 with 36/37 and installing 223 with 36/37 ?

I did the later and then switch the game settings to 223. Would doing it for 222 make any difference ?

It did for me... 222 ended up working in USBLoader GX where 223 would NOT.

Mine still does not work. Here is what I have & what I've done...

Running 4.0 with waninkoko's 4.0 upgrader

Tried USB, disk & SD with all of the following loaders:
uniloader
neogamma r6
u-loader
config USB loader v41
Waninkoko's USB loader 1.5
Softchip (don't know version)

I installed hermes 222 and 223 with 60/36 and 37/36...both failed

Doesn't work in disk channel (cIOSCORP 3.2)

As soon as I installed hermes 222 & 223 my copy of USB loader GX stopped loading. I reinstalled it, and it's the same thing, so I can't even try that.

When I try the disk through disk channel, I get a game error screen (check user manual....blah, blah, blah....)
With a disk in neogamma, I get error 002.

Everything else either hangs for 10 minutes until I get tired of waiting & restart Wii or I get a black screen. The weird part is that usually black/green screens make the Wiimote go black, but when I get a black screen with GH5, the light comes back on solid...so strange!!!

1. I'm on firmware 3.3u
Dop-ios readme said to be on 3.4 or real 4.0. Does that matter
Will I be ok if I update all ios's below 36 but stay on 3.3?

Finally working, but not sure why, because like a lot of people here I did a lot of thing, but
here the last thing I did:

For sure, I installed the Hermes 222 with 36/37 and installing 223 with 36/37
and put the option 222 in USB Loader GX (Latest version)

But I decide to patch the Iso with WiiBrickBlocker
and re-install the game with WBFS Manager 3.0 on the drive

and... voilà

Amazing list of songs, cant wait to play....

I just installed the wad-file via Wad Manager, then started the game in USB Loader GX with 223, worked like a charm, great songs. Can't wait to buy it for my Xbox 360 when it's released in Europe in about 2 weeks... =(

I can't get the microphone to work though. :S
I can't start it with the microphone, but if I insert it after I've started it, it won't work.

If you are having stutter problems with the Shine release, it is because the dump is pure garbage, try and get the other dump that is available if you are having issues, I was able to reduce the lag on one drive, however IDE drives suck for this game

That means you had IOS56 from either wii speak or Nintendo's official update installed.

The game includes it for those who don't have either. In fact, the version of IOS56 included on the disc, is newer than even the one on Nintendo's server. It is indeed required for this game. (I checked its TMD.)

Wahooo - finally got it working. My settings:

cIOS rev14
222 installed as 60 with 36
223 installed as 37 with 36
LoaderGX (715) running the game under 223 with 002 fix ON and block IOS reload ON

Works like a charm (with mic at least, haven't tried the gutar yet)

After about 15 minutes i got it to work in USB loader gx.

What I did:
Installed IOS 223 merged with 37 with 36.
And Installed IOS56-64-v5146 (the link is still in this thread somewhere, grab it while you can!)

hmm, kk. After posting I tracked down a v2 of his cios. Same thing for me. When I attempt to use hermes' i just get a black screen. I never even get the green-screen-flash that you always get when a game is first loaded. So it's as if hermes' cios doesnt even try for me.

I've decided fuck it. I shouldn't spend more time trying to get a game to work than I will playing it.

I got it working using Uloader and Hermes's IOS 223 and Uloader. USB loader GX didn't work

i have this working via disc channel(cioscorp) using IOS56-64-v5146.wad, taken from the GH5 disc, patched with the cIOS rev14 DIP module (for reading backups) and has truch bug restored. It has been tested by myself to work from disc channel on System Menu 4.1 on a launch system.

I was finally able to get USBLoader GX r717 to work intermittently. I'm not sure what is causing it but it would sometimes load and sometimes not with the same settings which is IOS223 error 002 on.

The kicker is that it works every time with Cfg USB Loader r41.

I finally got it!!!! With my system, for some reason I had to install IOS222 with 37 merged with 36, and IOS223 with 60 merged with 36

Uloader worked when loading IOS222, but not 223!!!!!
