I'd say wait for the CR4.
However if yer really keen on hacking it now, I'd say get a R-JTAG (if you got a Phatty) or a CR3 Pro (for Slims)
Supposed to be the fasted and best glitch chip that's going to be available.

Yes, you'll need a NAND-X/JR programmer or a SD R/W kit (depening on yer Xbox system)
4GB Slim systems need a SD R/W kit and HDD systems (including phatties) need a NAND-X or JR programmer.

Thank you for the info.
I think I will wait for the CR4 XL.
As I read it, the chances of the CR4 working with my Falcon is the best bet.
It promises to have the fastest boot times, I also read Falcons can be pita to glitch.

Where would be a good place to read up on Homebrew, setting up for backup loading, tools etc?
Also home does the lading of homebrew occur?
It's still a bit shady for me atm on how things work.
I'm coming from the Wii, and homebrew on that system was as simple as it would probably get.
On the Wii it involved copying some file to your sd card basicly.
How does this work on the RGH method?
Is the rewritten nand sort of a homebrew channel, when glitched?
WHere is the replacement menu loaded from...
My heas is turning right now.

Falcons on RGH2 can be troublesome yes.
Falcons on RGH1 where the best.

Backup loading is quite easy, just follow me guide on how to install FSD and yer good to go ;]
Homebrew it self is really limited, few emulators n barely any tools.

Humm, there's no "homebrew channel" of any sorts, you've got a replacement dashboard (Freestyle Dash AKA FSD) that allows you to load homebrew and backups and such.
Homebrew and games can be stored on the internal HDD or on USB drives.
I personally suggest upgrading yer internal drive to 500 GB or more, to allow you to store a couple of games.

Hi, I have a falcon board with Samsung Dvd Drive, I sent it for j-tag but they said that it something is wrong with my ROM and they have to replace it and then J-tag it......basically asking me for $85 and I got my xbox for the $70. What I want to know is that is the flashing possible if I update my xbox 360 to the latest dashboard?? The dvd rom is already flashed with I think LT 2.0 or below so it is not playing the latest games......Thanks

RGH and JTAG is pretty much the exact same thing.

You can flash it yes.
However, you're 100% sure you have a Falcon 360 with a Samsung DVD drive?
As it's almost impossible to have a Sammy DVD drive in a Falcon board, unless the DVD drive itself has it's OSIG spoofed.

If it has an HDMI port then it's a Falcon, if it doesn't it's an Opus (really rare console)
But you'll have to look at the power port to be sure it's a Falcon.

OSIG is the DVD drive signature in the console itself.
It's of no importance if you RGH it.

Got it......Thanks for everything...also should I update my Xbox, I am currently on 2.0.12626.0 with DVD flashed to LT 2.0 or below (bought it this way) and I can't play the newer games like NFS Most Wanted, DMC etc because of the dashboard version.....

No prob at all ;]
If you want to have it RGH'd you should better hold off from updating it.
Also, 13599 is a dashboard which reflashes your DVD drive to a new stock FW.
Seeing you might have a spoofed drive as well as a hacked FW on it, the system update will halt the system and fuck up the updating process.

You pretty much cannot update unless you have the original DVD drive (if yours is spoofed) and original DVD FW in the console.
Getting it RGH'd eliminates this problem altogether.
