right now, i don't care if it only loads banners from sd or bnr.
keep it up mate, but one tip: try to keep the game's name under the banner, it's much better than beeing overwritten.

the question is, would it support .bnr files?

awesome work mousex

No. Understanding and reverse engeneering the BNR animation format is very complex and would take months or years. Even marcan couldn't (in February) render all files right.

Sure

As I said, I only wnated to show that they can be loaded. I just don't know at the moment where to put them. I'll gimp some buttons with enough place for cover and text and then it will look nicer. As you see on the third game if you hover over a button it displays the game ifnormation, this will also remove the image temporary. Don't know which way it will go

Both try to start something from scratch as I see but my work is based on the USB Loader 1.1 and libwiigui, these cannot rally be mixed. libwiigui was made to display buttons, cursors, dialog boyes, progress bars and so on and not for Coverflow or such things, so I'll keep the 3x2 layout for unknown time.

Covers are possible

Doesn't look good, wrong proprotions and so on. I didn' know where I should put them so I just replaced the Buttons with Covers for a quick test.

Very nice project and very hard job. I am really waiting to test it.

It could be nice to respect the look and especially the feel of the wii interface. For example for the navigation to access to previous or next titles, it could be nice to have the same interactions we can find for the wii channels.

Another thing but it is of course more difficult to do and not the priority, is to be able to move a title to another place. This way, it could be possible to arrange the titles in a user order.

I don't know the way to code wii applications, can you give me some links to have such information. I know very well C and C++ that are, if i understood well, the languages to use.

wow i would just like to say any one who has any thing to do with making the usb loader better in any way THANK YOU

To be honest, I'd prefer a high-end gui right from the start.
I'm really tired of all the point and click menus and would like something new like the ohgodiforgotthename, that Ipod one.

I don't understand what you are trying to say.
Isn't the Ipod software point and click, too? I mean, it has a touch screen... what do you do with it instead of clicking/touching?

If he wants coverflow he should make it. Period.
Waninkoko's loader is open-source, so there is no problem with it.
I want my point and click menu and so I make it and I don't care if others like it or not

Nevertheless here is an update on my lame point and click menu (by the way, I'm coding it alone and not with the other guys from this thread

).

Nothing selected:

Cursor over a game (MP3 in this case):

Game menu:

EDIT: The text under the cursor reads "Back"

Yes exactly.
What you would do is,
You have a pointer.
If you point at the area where the games are aligned and hold A, you can move the Wiimote left and right to scroll through the games, horizontally.
You are also able to "throw" the scroll so it goes on a little before stopping.
When you click A on a game, it darkens the horizontal bar out, zooms up on that game, gives Info, let's you do stuff (Like assigning it to categories, deleting, whatever there might be to do), and also start of course.
Below the scroll area are buttons for installing a game, exiting and, I dunno, settings?
Above are battery info, time, total space, used space, number of games, etc.
That would be my ideal GUI.

Oh jeez don't get butthurt now.

I'm not hurt. It's open source, so if you want to change somehting, then change it.
And by the way, he is used for male persons. So what's your problem?
He => man/male
She => woman/female

I am doing what people call "suggesting".
I can't code C or whatever is used. I won't learn the language to do a single app.
I'm sorry. I didn't want to offend you by indirectly calling your GUI lame.

That looks excellent mousex, well done.
Im wondering if game images could be saved on the HD instead of the SD card with this one ?
Also, would it be hard to download them images automatically (or have an option to do so ) if they were missing and assuming the wii had wifi running ?

Expanding on previous suggestions:

For the cover art would it be possible to have nested if statements where it tries to load from the SD card then if its not their from a web source(or just download the image)?

Nope for now mine can only read the Hardrive and show the games in the a List but i´m working on the rest and i´m making progress (was really much work to get this compiledthe right way

).
I can´t really say how far mousex is.

I like this idea from alfatreze
wiiusbloader.jpg

and should be easy to make with libwiigui.
I mean have you guys seen the new Snes9x 4.0
