GTA IV for DS ?

Well... some of you guys may remember my "really successful" pollwhatever attemp a while back...

It seems that Rockstar *may* bring out GTA IV for the DS too:

There won't be a GTA IV. At least it won't be as big as that.
Also they won't make the same story and stuff on the DS. I hope they don't decide to make this a 2D game... The GBA one was shit , imo.

BTW... why is there a Guitar Hero 3 DS and not wii ? I thought the DS one was called On Tour ?

According the Game would release around summer... 6/15/08 ? Pretty near to other good releases (*cough*KH*cough)* .

As long as it turns out nothing like Driver on the GBA . . yuck

On a sidenote in australia they had Alone in the Dark for DS in a case and said coming soon on it, yet that hasnt been announced, so i guess these mistakes are made quite often

I go for fake
Tough it would be possible for rockstar to make a 3D GTA 4 game, just look at Transformers The Game but rockstar won't choose DS above PSP

The DS has only 4MB of ram...
Also it only can display 120k Polygons per seconds...
Now take these things :

Cars.
Player.
Passangers.
Maybe enemies.
Cops.
World. (roads and hills and stuff)
Buildings.
And the other small details.


These alone would probably overload the ram. (or they make the textures so damn lowres that they are pretty much just colors ... )

Let alone the Polygon count of such a scene.
Also the CPU probably isn't powerfull enough to completely process the AI. You need Cops , cars , passengers and enemies. That takes a low of prozessing power , at least the cops and the enemies take alot of power.

Just to clear this , I meant that a 3D version is extremly unlikely. My post here says nothing about a 2D version.

But there was a gba gta, so that completely destroys your reasoning. Even though it is IV, they could always switch the view. And besides, it's probably a fake, or like that other horror game that was on the list that nintendo released it could be a mistake.

Sounds fake to me, why would they make a GTA IV for the DS when they've already made 2 GTA-games for the PSP?
