I use R4 Kernal 1.18 and the game works with wifi. But when i tried multi card with my bro, when we start a game we freeze when its about to begin... is there a fix for this?

Okay, for those of us that have the european version, what do we do?

Just getting the USA version is a no-go. I do only have roms of games I actually have bought.

Anyhow, the AR code fix works, but the game crashes when I use the flamethrower, or do arson vigilante missions. So I would like to fix the game once and for all.


Please help.

Me too with a friend, the game freezed as well, and i patched it then replaced with the Arm7 of Bomberman 2...

So, how do we do ???

I've 'heard' swapping the ARM7 from Bomberman 2 is supposed to work for that, but it doesn't for me, so no clue~

The beginning of this thread suggests ARM7 + ARM9.

What difference does it make by using the AR fix?

Also can any of this patching cause slowdown in the game?

hi, i'm getting confused, i'm not posting any files but asking about them. when it says replace the arm9 with the one from the patch, which file is it? i'm finding no .bin or a file called arm9

i cant believe ur still having trouble with this but here goes:

if ur using r4:
download dslazy
extract it
double click dslazy to open it
now click the ... icon and find ur CLEAN GTA rom and click ok or open
then click "nds unpack"
it should open up the rom and u should see a arm7 and arm 9 file delete both
now place the downloaded arm 9 file in
now keep the GTA open, now go back to dslazy
click ... icon again and now choose bomberman 2 (e)
click open
now click nds unpack again
now it should open up the bomberman 2 rom and now take the arm 7 file out of the bomberman 2 rom and put it in the gta rom
now close the bomberman 2 rom
now all u should have is the gta rom that u modified
now click "nds pack"
name it wat u want
load it
enjoy

Has anyone made any progress on multicard multiplayer?

Playing the game for a minute before it freezes is such a tease - if anyone out there has managed to get this working i would greatly appreciate the input - i've searched extensively on the internet and can't seem to find any examples of working multiplayer through a flash card.

I tried the patches that was suggested but I do not know which arm9 file people are referring to. There's also a google link that brings you to the "supposed" patches but those didnt work for me either.

Im using a chinese R4 (probably one of the original ones) and the GTA NTSC version seems to work for me but Im NOT getting the Xin mission email which is the most frustrating part.
