Yes it's possible, but it won't happen. Nintendo would have shown a crazy tech demo. It's like saying that the PS2 Slim had better graphics then the original PS2.

Yea, because no other Nintendo handheld consoles did this...
Oh, wait... Zelda Oracle's did that... it would detect if it was in a GBC or GBA and load a different palette set as well as open a new shop if on GBA... Zelda DX had the BW/Color option... GB(M) or GBC... different palette sets as well (and a new dungeon) There were other games to do that, just can't remember any as it's been a while since i've played them... it's not all that hard to do... a different palette set for 2d graphics... as for FMV, just 2 different resolution videos...
WOW!!! THAT SOME PROOF YOU GOT THERE. Oh wait.GBA and GBC had NEW HARDWARE. (Durrrrr...)
wow nice put down you got there, DSi has a camera? oh wait, it has NEW HARDWARE. (Durrrr...)
I believe ferrariman was pointing at the fact that GB and GBC has different hardware graphical-wise, not feature-wise, Game Boy Camera was an expansion
Wait..... There are 4 versions of Game Boy
Game Boy
Game Boy Color
Game Boy Advance
Game Boy Advance SP
One of them (GBC) got a Game Boy Camera
NDS has 3 versions of itself
NDS Phat
NDS Lite
NDSi
One of them (NDSi) got a Camera
Now, with this pattern, I'm sure we'll see another version of NDS
