Basically I just need a person to help pretty up everything for the next release of my homebrew Mario Paint Composer DS seeing as I'm horrible with graphics myself.

Here is a current screenshot:

If you would like to help, please reply with a mock up (of the above pic) of how you would make this look, please keep in mind that nothing can be moved! (so no moving buttons around etc)
If you happen to have the best looking mock up I shall release further details on more specific stuff needed to that person and he/she will be added to the credits in the next release

I'm not sure if many people are going to attempt to help but if you do plan on helping it would be nice to get something within the next day or two as I'm in a hurry to get this released.

Sorry for taking up the page ....well now I know what you mean by a good edit. I could try something more creative, but others' are fine enough. hehe

I don't mean to be rude here, but the OP said he wanted help to "pretty it up" Zanonymous.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't want anything higher resolution, the DS maxes out at 256 x 192, and sprites don't take much stretching and shrinking before they're crap.

I believe he is wanting a theme for it... Something you would more than likely see in the actual Mario paint or a Mario game.

I would like to submit one, but it will be later tonight before I can (I'm not on my computer currently).

I'll make at least one themed one (hopefully no one will take my idea before I get to it), but otherwise I should have it up later!

I know I'm not supposed to double post, but since no one else has said anything and I am now finished with my reworking, I thought it would be okay to do so....

So here is my rendition, since I have everything I need already laid out in Photoshop I may make another, but otherwise here is my only one for now! I hope that it is to your liking!

Please tell me what you think, I know the staff bar on the bottom screen is a little hard to see, but I thought that it would still be workable. I can provide a clean background if one is needed.

Sorry, I placed the staff bar incorrectly, but it can be fixed if used (thank goodness for layers in Photoshop!).

It looks fine, it doesn't have to be 100% accurate as its mainly just a mock up to show me what you can do and what direction you want to take the design. Then the accurate stuff comes after if you do happen to get picked.

OH ME ME ME PICK ME ME ME

i have photoshop cs4 beta, pirated edition lol

along with macromedia flash

Well beve, do something, just because you have PhotoShop CS4, the picture won't draw itself..

Judging by your previous work.......you really aren't fit for this project..

EDIT:

This is how your photoshop skills look like?! Have you seen psycoblasters work around, or strata8, killermech?

Oh, god, It is really nice.

Take psycoblaster!

And I really like your Mario paint composer BassAceGold, but it would be better if you could more sound och longer sound(if you know what I mean)

And maybe if its not to, If you could make that we can record our voices and play them with our own songs............

psycoblaster, yours does look good but there's a few things; First of all the note sprites are too big (yeah i probably should have mentioned this limitation before) and need to be 16X16. And the gradient in the box might not show up that great as a 256 colors image. Other then that it looks fine.

16x16? gotcha. It's 11:28 PM here, and I'm about to sleep.
I'll fix the gradient to be just a single pure color. I'll see if I can get something.
And you said it was a mock up so I just got random google images, resized, and that was it

Well I'll see what I can do tomorrow.
Good luck with your homebrew

wait, do you need pixel art?
or does it just have to be in such resolution?

They just need to be 16X16, can be pixel art or what ever. But don't worry about it right now, I'm still waiting for more mock ups before I make the final decision... or at least give the people more time anyway.
