I want it, but I have a piece of shi- I mean Intel GMA 950 that sucks hard. GTA SA only works at good speeds at 800x600 and everything on medium, so I don't think this would run.

Meh, I've played it on the 360 and I didn't like it -- the cars spin out even when you drive slow, and the handling is terrible -- plus it drags on really badly, I had no incentive to finish it.

I'm nearly done with the Xbox 360 version - I love the game, it's one of my favorites.

I've heard that it's not passing 20fps on highest settings.. even on systems with the recommended requirements..

I downloaded it and installed it.. but apparently there is no crack for it yet.. searched for it and found a bunch of viruses and fakes only, beware!

I want to check if my machine can run it before buying it, been waiting for this game for months :/

Rockstar says the game has some protections so that people playing a pirate version won't be able to finish it.. no one has confirmed that yet thought..

Yep you have to have a fairly good computer to run it. Something about the way it renders physics for everything on the screen, cars people trees ect.

Has anybody figured out how to use a PS2 controller with it? The only controller option i can find is for a 360 one :/

Until there's more clarification as to the processing issues, I'm not budging for the game. I know Rockstar's had issues with most of their games before (Silicon Valley

) but really, this one is just sad.

Hm, may well get this at some point, though I'm not bothered enough to rush out and get it.
And the system requirements are mighty steep, the fact my processor is within the recommended requirements for Crysis, but is the minimum requirement for GTA IV (AMD 64 X2 5200+ 2.7GHz) is pretty ridiculous.

Also shows how overhyped it was originally, as reviews are saying it is a better version than its console counterparts, but still it has a Metascore of 91, compared to the consoles' 98 (review scores are on average far lower than for the consoles).

But my brother is playing it right now, and I've looked at it for about 10 minutes, and all I have to say is wow!
Wow, I never expected it to be that good!
He downloaded the 0x0008 version of the game and the crack, and it works perfectly, no bugs or errors.

And it's working at 1600*1200 here at the moment, perfectly, zero lag. In a few weeks I'll test if I can go higher, although I kinda doubt it

I have a 8800GTS 512 MB, Q6600, 4GB RAM and Windows Vista x64

@ hankchill: Yes, I've seen that the handling is indeed pretty hard, but I've read so many reviews of the console versions and they all said that it needed some skills to be able to drive properly.
So practice some more, that prolly will help

Is it possible to manually configure my keyboard inputs? When I try to configure the controls I can only see a X360 gamepad with predefined controls. All I need is to change the car controls from WASD to the arrows, can I do that?

you got some good hardware there, I suspect it won't have a hard time to run, Quad-Core, 4GB, and 512MB VRAM...... I wish I can have something lik that.

Mine is only Core2Duo, 256MB 7200 SE, 2GB RAM, sad....

Currently it's at working very good here, although I have some stutters when too much happens on the screen (explosions, police cars, ....)
And the loading on the first load ( so just after starting the game ) is pretty long too.
So all in all, it's quite a demanding game. Although the graphics are top notch ( very good, I keep being amazed by it ), it also demands a lot of your hardware
