Ok, obviously, I don't understand it, which is frustrating me.

So, I have a R4 card v1.18 and I have GTA (xpa-gtac.nds). So I added AR Codes to it using Cheat Code Editor which is on the R4 cd.

He recognizes the cheats, but whenever I launch Gta, it says that the savegame could not be used or whatever.

So I am reading this topic and I don't understand a thing about how to actually do this, since I'm pretty new to all this.

Can anyone tell me (step by step) what to do with the ARM7 patch and the bypass code (which I already entered in my CCE file). So that I know exactly what to do to get this game played with AR codes.

I guess I will be waiting for the iTouchDS team to release a firmware update since I can't get the unpatched version to run with the AR code and I don't want to run into problems with any of the patched versions.

Dude all you have to do is a CORRECT arm7 patch and then use the cheat and it is perfect!!

dude you have to arm7 pathc the rom first.

I managed to get it to work on the original R4DS 1.18 firmware with the ARM7 + AR code.

Anyway, I'm updating my card for an AK2, should be way better.

Plz help me... I already patch GTA cleam ROM using arm7 and put the bypass code but the code doesn't show up. What do I suppose to do?

am i the only one experiencing this problem, gta works on 1.45 firmware update of EDGE but it crashes/hangs up (when driving fast or doing a mission) or sometimes lags (when driving fast or being chased by the cops). I experienced more problem in the 1.45 update than the AR code fix for gta.

Hello all! I'm new in this forum. I'm from Spain.

My question is about the new european rom in R4.

- Replacing the ARM files works but WIFI doesn't work.
- I want to use the ROM with clean rom+Ysmenu+usrcheat fix. I've tried editing the USRCHEAT with the fix for US rom (created in this great forum ), changing the ID to the EUR version, but doesn't work. It says: ""patch install... open ttreset.dat error!"

What can I do?

EDIT: I've tried the USA rom and i have THE SAME PROBLEM!!! What's wrong?

EDIT: WORKS!!! the FIX: Rename the folder "Ysmenu" to "TTMenu".

Hi,

I have tried the above method but still unable to let it work. I guess it works slightly better as I could boot the game already. But I'll always get hanged after the Nintendo logo faded. Do I still have to patched the game with save crack or anything else? Btw i'm using G6 Flash cart. Not lite.

Thanks, Altair! No patching needed to use on my SupercardDSOne.
Supercard users; download .scc cheat from Altair's post, name it the same as GTACW rom , put .scc in same folder as rom, enable cheats, play.

For M3 Sakura users this will work if you get the 1.35 Beta that has instant codes.

I will upload a cheat database for R4/M3 users in a second, but it only has this code in it.

It will be in a .dat format so for M3 users just goto "Select Cheat File" and browse to the .dat file and it will load and work perfectly.

Are you talking about the database I uploaded?

Because:

1. It does have the cheat that was in the OP.
2. It works perfectly, I've been using it on my M3 DS Real to play GTA for the last couple of hours.
3. If you're having problems, make sure you're selecting the cheat database file, and instant codes are enabled.

i notice that whenever u put a code inside the cheat.dat it will make a file.cht
so the file.cht will make the code appear and also let u active the code

after u finish u save it as "gamefilename".cht in the place where u put the game file

Alright, Im just slightly confused here. Im trying to get this to work on an R4 with 1.18. Ive edited the cheat file with the AR code and patched the rom with a Arm7 fix, but it doesn't work.

To those who have gotten this to work, tell me what you did exactly, preferably step by step please
