My M3 simply, just don't see that there's a cheat for GTA.
Is it because of the old firmware or I don't know.
Narin cheats always worked for me.

That why the code has not been added to Narin cheat databese

Take this. I had the code to Narins cheat database, and works for M3 SIMPLY

It finally sees that there is a cheat but the save problem is still there.

If someone still have a problem with adding a cheat, do this:

(Based on M3 Sakura firmware)

1. Find your cheats.xml file on your card and open it
2. Copy this code line

CODEGTA Chinatown Wars
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂYGXE DEE4AA12
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ2009/03/15 14:47
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂGTA CW SAVEFIX
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ020FCB3C 22329203
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ

and paste it under this code line:

CODE

Codejunkies US Games
ÂÂÂÂ

3.Save xml file and close it
4. Enable the cheat into M3 Sakura's cheat options
(hold stylus on game icon past few seconds)
5. Play the game

Does anyone know how to apply this AR code to a EZIV flashcart? Never used cheat codes and, after having googled for a good while, it seems like there's no bloody way to do it. Help, please.

There is the EZARCode.dat file with the code included for EZ-Flash Cards.

http://rapidshare.com/files/209587145/ezarcode.rar

I don't have a EZ Card but I've been reading that you have to Enable Cheats before launch the game touching the second icon on the left side (it changes to blue) then after launched it you got the Code Screen put the code ON. The weird thing its that you could active the cheats when the game is running pressing L+R+START so I don't know if this code works well because it needs to be activated previously.

Anyway... Have a nice day!

I'm not aware of any cheats.xml, just the cheats.db which does not contain those lines. :/

If you have Sakura firmware it should be in SYSTEM/CHEATS folder...

Ok, I uploaded my modified cheat file, you can download it here

For M3 Sakura users - place cheat file under SYSTEM/CHEATS directory on your card, and replace your current cheats.xml file.
Then turn on DS, enter the cheat options, search cheat for GTA and enable it.

I'm also totally lost here... In M3 Sakura firmware there is no "cheat" sub dir, there is no "cheat.xml" file. Only "cheat.db" in the root of "system" dir and thats 100% it!

Update: I was able to select the "cheat.xml" file with the menu system, but now the game crashes to black screens once booted (rather then after picking a save slot). Also I'm told that "cheat.dat" (R4) files will work in Sakura, this isn't true, it will let you select them... However, no cheat is listed as available.

How are "cheat.db" files made? Please don't say with "r4cce086" because it WILL NOT open or edit it!

Thanks a tad, man. However, I think that's only for EZV and after, since there's no cheat function on my menu. Anyway, it's probably some issue the devs. will have to fix, as the game won't run at all. There's blank screens only, and I don't think the game engine's been launched so as to allow the cart to execute any cheat codes.

I want a firmware update for EZFlash 4!!! I'm sure they're working on it but I want to play the game sooo baaaad

With R4, Ysmenu and the cheat code, wifi finally works, also with ysmenu it runs faster, without lag going top speed. (it lagged with 1.18, arm7 & arm9 fix)

On R4:

1.18, arm7 & arm9 fix = slowdowns at top speeds, sometimes the streets went all gray (like in ps2 xD).

1.18, arm9 fix = just the slowdowns

Ysmenu + cheat code = none of them

I'm lost. I did everything the guide said but I was confused with the saving as it wasn't added in. So I replaced the existing CHEAT.dat file with the one I just made but I don't know how to enable it on the R4. The cheat thing where you're supposed to press "Y" doesn't come up. I'm completely noobish when it comes to these things so I must be doing something wrong.

Someone in the news needs to fix their shit because it has been fixed 2 ways even though everyone was told their was only 1 way to do it.

I already did the Arm fix so i dont have any problems playing it but may end up switching over soon. THANKS INFINITY

I used r4 with just arm7 and it seems to be running perfectly.

Yes, you only need the arm7 fix - that worked for me, too.

1. Fix with ARM7
2. Open the result with R4cce to get the game id.
3. Add the AR to the game id code to the cheat.dat.
4. Run it.

Thats all. My System is 1.18.

Some says the AR code lags the game.

Some says that the patch+ arm7 thing crash in multiplayer (not wifi)

You chose.

Or wait.
