Hacking Grade A Noob ~ Firmware not working?

I got a R4i-sdhc 3ds flashcard from 3ds-flashcards.com and after I formatted my sd card into fat 32 and put the firmware from the manufacturer's website, when ever I launch it on my 3ds it just shows me a sd card symbol with "?menu" in the symbol. Help? I know my sd card is fine, its 8 gb, and i have used it for other things.

Are you running CFW? What is your system firmware version?

Try one of the files that relates to your card from this site and extract it to the micro SD on the r4i micro SD. http://www.r4isdhc.com/r4-download/

well, i have downloaded those files from that website, as that is the card i got. However, it still does not work. I do not know why.
