I was wondering why Market wasn't working. Very odd, though. Thoughts?
I'm enjoying Google Play but it would have been nice to see a "Play Games" folder along with the Movies handbooks updates.
So this is a merging of some Google services with the Android Market? Seems fine...but how do you 'play' books?
Seems about right. Easier to get all customers in one place and possibly get better revenue. Kinda like how everything by Google (mail, docs, cal, etc) can be accessed in one screen regardless of you current location. Go Google I guess?
You play books by merging the two words and changing books to boy. If you know what I mean.
But seriously, I have no idea. Maybe it means audiobooks? You can play those.
i wonder when they will start Google games. Even has a ring to it.
This rename stinks to be honest, it devalues the concept of apps.
Not all apps are for play, some are for utility. Additionally "play" is a vague concept. Seeing as the logo is the conventional play button associated with media players, it doesn't even associate with games found on the app store.
Change it back to the android app market. Because Android is a service of google that already has a lot of recognition, and app market is a much more aptly chosen name.
just get Google Music to work in UK and I'll be ok.
just used my market and had to accept new terms for Google Play
was fine this morning in UK
Same here. By the looks of it though, they've made it worse.
I kind of liked the icon for the Android Market. This new one feels all Windows Seven-y and glossy. The old one doesn't suck.
I hate this.
Now I have to tell people "Download it in the Google Play store" instead of "market"?
Forget that. It will forever be market for me. P:
But, other than the name, I'm okay with it. It's not really different at all.
You don't. It's all about commercialization. Just go with it, lol
Now all we have to do is wait for google to pull a nintendo and announce gender-targeted versions of the suite, with blue and pink backgrounds. Google Playboy and Playgirl, probably.
I litterally never used Google Music, Google Books or Google Movies. NEVER.
Couldn't care less for this tbh.
Google music works perfectly in the UK.
I've been using it for months.
No, it's only available to US. IDC if you're using a VPN or proxy.
All it is is a rebranding. Books and movies were already available in the market, this just makes it clearer that there are many different things available, not just apps.
Also please launch Music in the UK now.
Not a fan of the Google Apps, that is why I have frozen them all on my Acer Iconia A500.
lolz, it works fine in the UK.
granted i signed up from an American IP.
but it runs perfectly on my android and my computer.
