The Golden Sun games are too awesome. Admittedly, I was stupid and played the 2nd GS, then the first one, but it still made sense in the end.

I would kill for a sequel, the DS needs some more solid RPGs as well.

it was a good game with very good graphics (could say better than some other 3d ds games !!!)
Well Golden Sun 3 ... i hope it does come out but many things tell me it won't

1. The ending- very definate
some people thought it was not, but look at the ending of GS1. How you can actually tell there will be a sequel.
How the ship was ready and there was everything about sheba and felix...

2. The date
I still remember i spent so much times on the game, where i thought i could level all my characters to 99 but i stopped in all level 50... but the game came out in... like... can't remember now but i remember it was there before i was in highschool, so ... i was in 4th grade when 1 came out.... 2 came out before one of my best friends left to the US... so about 4 years ago????

3. The story.. like.. ended.
Saturos and Menardi (is that right?? i haven't played this game since so long) died in 1, Felix and sheba and jinny is all good now, Alex died for sure... and the parents are back so even though a new GS3 came out it would... be a completely different story.

a completely different story isn't bad, there are plenty of games that weren't supposed to have a sequel, but they ended up having one, and they turned out alright.

and i don't believe that if golden sun three was bad, that it would ruin the entire series, c'mon how could you convince yourself that just cause the sequel was bad, that makes the entire series bad as well?

I have been hoping for a sequel to GS2 for ages now. I've beaten 1 and 2 multiple times. I just hope that they can stop with the Mario Tennis for now and make the sequel instead.

*crosses fingers*

Not real evidence, but here is a quote from an interview with the camelot heads of software planning:

"Honestly, just like your readers saying that they want to see a new Golden Sun, a new tennis game, a new Shining Force, well, everyone in Camelot feels the same way -- we really want to get these games out for you guys," they said. "Just like how we said our staff has been hoping to create new RPGs, we are definitely in the planning stages of doing something interesting. We hope that you will be looking forward to our future game. We ourselves are looking forward to the next Camelot RPG as well, just like you."

Hopefully they come with a new golden sun game, but with maybe a paralel story line since the golden saga is kinda completed after the lost age.

I never understood why Golden Sun was so highly regarded. The story was weak, and the battle system was pretty normal. The only thing I sort of enjoyed were the Zelda-style puzzles, but those were kind of on the easy side. That being said, I have played and finished both of them, and I admit they were entertaining. Good games, but not as amazing as everyone seems to make them out to be

Re-makes = fail

Re-makes of good games = ultra-fail

Money should be spent on developing new ideas, not re-makes ...
True but as much as I loved the GoldenSun series making a third installment wouldn't always be the best move.

I believe that Camalot should begin a new series with the idea of including GoldenSun's Gameplay.

OKAY I decided to skip the rest of the thread since I started getting the feeling that spoilers were on the horizon. I half read one and then skipped. People.. use a spoiler tag
