PSP-inspired frontend XOrA gets early access trailer, public release to follow in November

There's a lot of great ways to organise your games on an Android emulation handheld. With apps like ES-DE you can already access a plethora of unique aesthetics, with others like iiSU and Cocoon pushing the stylistic boat out there to give you a Nintendo-themed experience. For those wanting to relive the glory days of Sony's handhelds, XOrA might be the one to watch.

With the first look trailer having released today, along with a paid period of early access, XOrA brings all the stylistic nostalgia of the PSP's Cross Media Bar and pulls it into the modern day. With integrated RetroAchievements, messaging (assuming you're happy to link your social app of choice), and even a well-themed music player, we will soon have yet another fantastic tool for those emulating on the go. There's even a Vita-themed shortcut page for those of us out there who still feel something for Sony's most neglected handheld.

At the time of writing the app has just launched into a period of paid early access, with those interested able to download the app by contributing via the official ko-fi page and linking to the official Discord server. A free public release is set to follow in November.

A note on the usage of AI from the ko-fi page:

Well at least I got confirmation about my suspicions. If they are just words like you think they are, surely you don't have any issues with typing them here to show us how tough and brave you are, do you ?

I've seen it a lot, maybe those people just couldn't be bothered to call it Vita and preferred "PSP2".

(Almost) fully AI-generated as opposed to AI-assisted, letting an AI agent do the development work, instead of the developer using their own experience and skills, with AI only used for occasional problem-solving or debugging (if that).

Why not just say it's AI developed? Not really sure what I expected of "vibe coded" other than going with vibes.

Because it's derogatory, and aimed at the person. A project can be AI-developed, but a vibe coder is a person whom the programming work (or lack thereof) can be attributed to. At least that's my thinking.
