true. same here.
i had three therapists in 2024.
one actually vanished for real. stopped showing up, stopped replying. second one also had cancer in her family, no longer felt she had enough professional distance, or whatever its calledin english, and couldnt treat me anymore.
third one... promised to keep me, help me, we'll see.

i did a funny today. surly 62 year old alcoholic in group therapy. batted down every single suggestion from anyone for nearly two hours. people were... unhappy with his angry and agressive attitude, so after two minutes of silence i said "im no psychologist myself, but mine recommended that i expand my circles of friends with activities im sure to enjoy, maybe you would, too? have you ever considered Dungeons and Dragons, Warhammer or Magic the Gathering groups?"
....and i kept my expression completely neutral, open and friendly as he scowled at me.
... people quietly giggled at my suggestion. i was happy with myself
