Hacking Godmode froze/can't exit!

Pretty much what the tile says; was running setup on a new 2DS (og doorstop model), and Godmode froze on me. Was using this guide () and all was well until doing card cleanup and just about to backup the nand. I can't hard reset, and none of the buttons are functioning. Do I just have to wait until the dang battery dies?

Have you tried to remove the SD card and see if the console reacts to that?

Why didn't you follow the official 3ds.hacks.guide? I've noticed this tutorial was posted few days ago, but YT videos are not recommended as they may be confusing and get dated really fast.

I did, no reaction to removing the SD. Guide I am using is from someone who I used guides from before, it's very clear and current to just a few days ago...and it falls under the "too late now!" category anyway, I guess....

All I can think to do is see if I can get hold of an appropriate screwdriver to pop the battery out, or wait like 12 hours until the freshly charged (of course) battery dies...

2. Clear Home Menu extdata

4. Recovery Mode

Not sure what model you have as your description is conflicting ("new 2DS" vs "og doorstop model").

Battery trick can't be easily done on the n2DSXL. The o2DS on the other hand is quite simple.
