Why do you need us to convince you?

Because I haven't been paying attention with the Wii releases and I respect (most? some?) of the people's opinions on here. I didn't realise it was going to be such a big deal.

to be honest there is not 20 games on most consoles i am interested in. For my 360 i would say i have about 5 "must have" games the rest are good but nothing major. ps3 has like 2 decent games.

If you count GC games then you will easily get that list to 20

I disagree the 360 has at least 30 must have games. Maybe 10 if you didn't add the multi format games and even then most 360 versions are the best. I don't like to say this as I hate the way Microsoft do business, I hate their software on the PC but they've done a much better job on their console then the others and this from a Nintendo fanboy.

Here are the ones I actually paid money for:
1. Zelda
2. Red Steel
3. Rayman
4. Play
5. Wario Ware
6. Kororinpa
7. Eledees (=Elebits)
8. Excite Truck
9. Sonic

I'd say they're all pretty much worth it. Sonic and Excite Truck are my favourites. Rayman was great at the beginning but probably isn't that exciting now. Play is only worth it because it's cheap with an extra Wiimote. Kororinpa and Wario Ware are pretty short.

Also:

14. Doshin the Giant (GC)
15. Chibi Robo (GC)

Other games I think are worth buying but I can't/didn't get, yet:

I'd even say there are hardly 20 must-have games for any of the three last generation consoles...
let's take the GameCube:
-Super Smash Bros. Melee
-Pikmin 1+2
-Super Mario Sunshine
-Zelda: TWW
-Metroid Prime 1+2
-Mario Kart Double Dash
-F-Zero GX
-Eternal Darkness
-TimeSplitters 2
-Resident Evil 4
-Killer 7
-Viewtiful Joe

that's not even 15 games I'd consider must-haves, and that's for a console that exists for over 5 years (or was it 4 years?) now...how'd you expect console, which has been just out for half a year, to have more than 20 games worth buying?

ask again in late 2008, then the Wii might have, let's say, 10 essential games...
