So I’m struggling. I tried redoing the hack. None of the gc games boot. 8 furthest they go is the open screen and freeze on spot. Select wii games booted like Mario Olympics, but others only give a black screen like dk country or house of the dead. I ran a syscheck but I’m struggling to figure out what to do with the info now that I ran one any advise.

Note my Wii was hacked by me back in 2018-2019 and I never touched it or put games on it then I dusted it off this week after successfully tricking out my ps3, and ps4 ….. stumped again though. I don’t wanna be heated by a wii that can’t even connect to modern Wi-Fi I should be superior 😅

Since Nintendont uses IOS58 and that's not working the issue is likely with your USB storage device. So are you using a 120GB USB HDD or a 128GB USB flash drive?

You could copy all of the games to your PC and then format the USB storage device to FAT32 via Wii Backup Manager. Then copy 1 or 2 GameCube games back to the USB storage device and see if Nintendont can play them.

Ok none of the gc & wii games are working? Could be your hdd/usb flash drive. Make sure it's formatted as Fat32 32kb cluster size, and verify your wii games in WiiBackupManager to make sure they're not corrupt.
Also the drive has to have a primary partition and is set to MBR. You can check that in disk management in any Win device.

Dang ok I’ll start with this.

Plugged in the drive to reformat, I guess it currupted bc it wouldn’t show on my pc anymore. Going to buy a new one. They are so cheap now 😅 I bought this one back in 2018. It was just a 128gb thumb drive. Fingers crossed 🤞 that the drive resolves everything thank you 🙏 for the suggestion I’ll report back once I get it squared away.

I thank you new thumb drive and all the wii games boot, just not the gc games. Big improvement. Any clue where to start to resolve GameCube games booting to a black screen and having to physically shut down the system to reboot.

Was the usb flash drive formatted as Fat32 32kb cluster size or not? It needs to, otherwise gc won't work.
Also check your video settings in Nintendont, set it to "auto".
Re-rip/ Re-download those games and try again.

Yes I used the wiimanager to format the drive and dump the wii games. Do I need to install them with the wii manager too? I just drag and dropped them from my desktop bc they are all small file size

GC games? Is the naming correct (of the game folder and iso file)?

Yea I was pretty tedious in naming them all correctly attached is a photo of an error that showed on one attempt, but the emulating memory card is off in nintendont and I had two memory cards tested inserted

That's weird, as mc emulation shouldn't be an issue.. Also i don't get why it shows that when mc emulation's off.
I'd tag @pedro702 he'd know more.:)

failled to creat memory card can be either the sd card is write protected, the lock on the side blocking it or there isnt enough space on the device.

In that case i'd suggest trying with a different sd card adapter (if he's using one), these things break easily, the lock slider gets twitchy or behaves as if it's locked even if it's in the unlocked position..

Here’s photos of an example of what I’m experiencing. Dumb question but my iso read as disc image file is it the same or do I need to convert to iso? See photo for what I’m referring to

you didnt followed any directions to a tee, to get best results in nintendont you shoudl always use full isos /1.35 gb) with the md5 matching redump your iso clearly isnt, but im guessing this is more of an usb issue, if the iso works from sd card that means nintendont doesnt like your usb device.

Please don’t name your posts things like “I need help with my X”. It makes it hard to understand what the actual problem is.

That's weird, as mc emulation shouldn't be an issue.. Also i don't get why it shows that when mc emulation's off.
I'd tag @pedro702 he'd know more.:)
I also heard about him, he would definitely help
