So I was going to contact the guy who sold me the console about getting it repaired, but apparently xbox-scene went to shit so I have no way to talk to him now. The problem is my console would sometimes freeze ingame. Like the video would freeze and sometimes the audio/background music is still going, or it'll reboot into freestyle dash. Temps were around the normal numbers. The few PM's I did with my seller he believed it's about to RROD and suggested I get it reflowed/reballed. I know I can't really do this myself without special equipment, so does anyone here know anyone I could talk to about it?

    What are your temps?

If you do want to get it reballed then you'll have to search the web for it.
There must be someone locally that is willing to reball it for you.

I'd recommend getting it reballed if you can find someone with the equipment to do it; however, you'd probably have an easier time finding someone who'll properly reflow it. Do NOT do those ghetto ass reflows, it'll get it working, but you're just going to make the solder real brittle and eventually it'll fuck up.

Look on the team-xecuter forums. Loads of people on the site that offer repairs and stuff.

If you plan on keeping that Xbox 360 and want a permanent fix then get it reballed. If you just want to buy some time until you buy a new 360 then reflow it yourself.

Is this happening every time you play any game at all? I mean, this happens to me once in a while, but otherwise my falcon works fine, I just assume it's a bug in the game and start it again, and then it plays fine again. But if it is every game every time, that would be a thing to worry about.

I'd also like to see your temps, just to compare to what I usually get. Mainly GPU and EDRAM. Mine are in the upper 50's, though lately my EDRAM goes up to the mid 60's with a lot of games.

Temps are normal for a falcon, around upper 50's like tbgtbg, so I'm pretty sure it does need to get reballed. Looked at Xecuter's forums and found a guy that should be able to do it. And I know not to do any ghetto reflows, tried that with a Xenon several years ago and it's still sitting in my closet.

Although looking around I may try to get a slim, since those seem to be generally more reliable. I might try to trade this one and a couple unmodded Falcons I have to someone who could do something with them.
