The waiting it out option assumes a purchase will be made when the FW is released. Possibly paying a higher price or waiting longer if on back order. Not quite. One involves spending money.
Both options involve risk.

Perhaps (I could put it in savings, even though I probably won't). But then I'll have whatever that something is while I wait to see if the GW update ever comes, whereas otherwise I wouldn't.Technically the money that would have been spent on the Gateway would go toward something else. Either way, you're spending money. ;P
Ravioli said:I decided to update my V8.1.0-19U 3DS XL yesterday to the latest firmware of V.9.4.0-21. I only did it because I knew that cards have only supported 4.1-4.5 for the longest time, and I just figured I might as well go ahead and update so I could actually use the eShop for once. I was certain that support for V8.1.0-19U would never happen. Of course, right after I update it, I come across a news post saying that Gateway has created support for newer firmwares, and were set to start on V8.1.0-19U after. Just my fuckin' luck. So now I've got this V.9.4.0-21 3DS XL, and I guess my only option is to get a Sky3DS even though I wanted the Gateway for the longest time. Unless, of course, Gateway is going to have support for V.9.4.0-21 anywhere in the near future. What the fuck do I do? Just wait...

I was contemplating getting a Gateway, I've been waiting it out for months and always tell myself there is no point getting one now as each month passes. I was wondering if it is actually worth getting now or should I just wait?
Thanks for any help.
Didnt gateway say it was still the old card in an emailAccording to the past situations, the latest update can only be applied into new card can;t work with the " old " card, i mean if you buy now, your card maybe belong to the "old" one and can't use their next upcoming update anymore or in other complicated method. And i guess why they still didnot release the update? Maybe they are waiting the "old" cards sold out then start producing the new cards. Be cautions!
