Edit: It's fixed now

I saw this. I thought he was still a little arrogant, but I kinda like the way he was arrogant this time. I hope he wins.

I don't like how he takes full credit for the hack. I mean, this is pretty much all based on the work Fail0verflow did, right? Also, he says he looked for a way to enable homebrew without enabling piracy. That's not even remotely true. Releasing the master key for a system is conciously breaking the whole security the device has.

Yeah thats what I meant by arrogant, he pretty much takes full credit for breaking the PS3 wide open.

Unfortunately, that's what happens when you give people like that a tiny bit of praise...

They'll think they saved the world.

This interview is going to make him look worse than he already does.
And something about his face just screams... "Kick me, I'm a douche".

Yeah it does!

I see it like this the jailbreak dongles jimmied the door open, Failoverflow went inside and came back out said "Hey there is cool shit in there". Then geohot just went in and took it all for himself.

Geohot is an arrogant prick. Seriously, at first I had some sympathy for the guy, but now I get why he doesn't get accepted by the scene.

Say all you want, but the fact is he still gave us the CFW. Most likely he could of patched lv1/2 to enable syscalls for Backup managers but he didn't, and just enabled Homebrew, he hasn't taken a step wrong in my opinion, sure he may be slightly arrogant. But honestly, if I was in that kind of position I'm sure I would be too.

The fact is that he is not thanking fail0verflow for their findings. Where he could not even be close to his CFW without them. fail0verflow did almost all the work, and don't even get decent credit for it from him.

I believe initially he did thank them for the tools to do what he did. I also agree he did give us the first custom firmware, but he would not have been able to do so with out the work done by others first. I guess your right tho luke_c who wouldn't be arrogant.

Quoted from his old index, "props to fail0verflow for the asymmetric half". Most of it was engineered by himself, including the .pkg signing tools.

You guys saying that this man is an "arrogant prick" sound funny to me. I attended the ps3 conf at the 27c3 and the "fail0verflow" guys were much more "arrogant" than this. And I think you mistake arrogant for ambitious.

Then again I did not go to some forums full of box-seat-watchers that know absolutely nothing to bash these guys. You guys need to learn respect and stuff.
