I’m linking my original Reddit post. I don’t know why I didn’t come here first.
I have a GBA with a peculiar screen issue. The BIOS boots, but there’s no display. I’ve replaced the electrolytic capacitors and replaced the screen with another OEM 40-pin, and there’s still no results. I can boot into a cart as well, but no display.
Troubleshooting steps taken:
- Potentiometer adjustment
- Cap replacement
- Screen replacement x 2
- Tried with and without a game
- Board cleaned with IPA (99%)
- Screen has been reseated MULTIPLE times. (The current pictures show it unseated. I reseated it after it was pointed out in the thread, still nothing.)
Here’s my original Reddit thread. Images of the board front and back are available.
