LOOK, I LOVE GBA AND DS GAMES AND WITH MY MODDED 2DSXL, I WANT TO PLAY THOSE GAMES, BUT GAMES LIKE POKEMON ARE VERY SLOW, I NEED TO MAKE THEM FASTER, WHICH EMULATORS IS THE BEST FOR THIS WORK

IS IT MGBA OR RETROARCH OR MAYBE INJECT THE GAMES AS A . CIA FILE AND THEN USE A DEBUG MENU...

I JUST WANT TO MAKE THE GBA AND DS GAMES FASTER ON 2DSXL ......

Two words: Stop. Shouting. I don't know if you haven't heard, but Caps Lock isn't cruise control for "cool" anymore.

First, what version of the 3DS family of systems are you using? The Old 3DS include the 3DS, 2DS, and 3DS XL. The New 3DS includes the New 3DS, New 3DS XL, and New 2DS XL. Keep in mind imported versions from Japan have an "LL" suffix for the XL units instead.

Secondly, are you using TwilightMenu++? It's the only way to reliably play Nintendo DS and DSi games without cartridges on the 3DS line, and there shouldn't be slowdown in this app. Since they're running in the native DS mode of the 3DS, I doubt that your claim of slow running holds water. They should be running at the native 59-60FPS.

Thirdly, for GBA game playback, I suggest using Open_AGB_Firm and a launcher to boot into it from the home menu.

for starters. if you got the old 2ds then that's going to make things slower than ya want. Most other stuff has already been mentioned for what you'd need.

I think he probably means that the pokemon GBA games run slow on mgba because he owns an old model.

You can use GBArunner2, OPEN_AGB_FIRM, TwilightMenu++, or create fowarders for both GBA and DS.
For GBA use universal injector, for DS there's a windows app made with java called DS fowarder or something like that.

I assume you know what fowarders are? just in case you don't, a CIA is generated that works as some sort of shortcut to the rom. The GBA games i'm pretty sure are bundled in the CIA generated, but you still need the rom for the DS games, and you must point their location when generating the CIA file on the fowarder, otherwise it'll point to nothing.
Oh, pretty sure you also need NDS-bootstrap for the DS fowarders to actually do something. You better read the threads for said softwares thoroughly, consider my post as "me pointing out what to look for" only

Good luck

So i know how to do it , it can be done using retroarch just need to tweek the settings a little bit , i found a yt video showing how to do it , its perfect , now i can fastforward ds and gba games on any console which retroarch supports .. gg thanks for the help everyone

why making it so complicated with emulation. just use the build in GBA VC and a NDS Forwarder.
1.for NDS games: Use Universal Updater to install "NDS Forwarder Generator" and create in the Homebrew app the Forwarder for your game.nds
2. Download "New Super Ultimate Injector for 3DS" for your Windows, run it, insert any game.gba file and make some nice picture as icon and create a .nsp file which you can install on your 3DS using FBI

Both methods work quiet well for me and the perfomance is great.
