Hardware GBA AGB001 Speaker Upgrade?

Hi GBATEMP,

I own an original GB, GBC, AGS001, AGS101 and have decided to build my optimal GB device. I don't play any GBC or GBA games. Only GB games.

I like the speaker, and screen from my AGS101 but hate the ergonomics. I like the AGB001's ergonomics.

I know I can put the AGS101 screen into my AGB001 but I really prefer the speaker output of the AGS101.

Are there any mods to make the AGB001 speaker as clear and/or as loud or even louder than the AGS101?

Hi, I've been looking into this as well, and it looks like you can use a DS lite speaker as a replacement. Apparently it sounds a bit better than the stock AGB001 speaker.

You realize a speaker swap is probably the easiest thing you can do right? Just need to solder ground, left and right channels.
