This looks like a really fun game, and I'm looking forward to trying it out. I'm getting seriously conflicting reports about when it is coming out though.

On the gamestop link it says
CODEPre-order Ships 9/1/2008

But the Wikipedia link says 7/22/08. Gamestop just puts dates far away when they don't know the actual release date yet.

EDIT: On the Nintendo Channel (Wii) it says the release date is 7/15/08..

well the Wikipedia hasnt been updated, and I tried to.
First it was June 22nd, then July 22nd (Great same day as FFIV

) and then it gets moved to September 1st (BOOOOO!

)
IGN confirms it comes out September 1st

IGN also says July, (22) I believe.
The same day as Izuna 2 I believe.

No, IGN says September 1st. Like I said a few posts above yours.
They previously said July 22 then, cause I got my original date from there and I checked a thread I made, and it's 22nd.

It's very well possible that it was pushed back, but I'd take the Nintendo channel as the primary word.

EDIT: Please don't change wikipedia articles unless you can cite proof, like a Nintendo channel, not the IGN or something that's third party.

Pretty sure this is not a port. From the previews I've been reading, it sounds like it was built from the ground up for DS.

Anyway, I'm very much looking forward to it. Not sure how well the formula has aged, but I sure enjoyed the hell out of it in the arcades when I was a kid. Of course, it was one of the first multiplayer, co-op games to come along, and one of the first that was actually fun. How that will translate on the DS...?

Looks great.

I remember when we stayed at a beach house for a few days, they had a n64 and Gauntlet Legends.
We already had Gauntlet Legends at home, but it was lost, so I kind of borrowed the one from the beach house.
I still have it.

I loved that game so much! Probably because of the multiplayer mode.

ugh, they are just ringing the towel of cash from Gauntlet, aren't they? I honestly don't know how this game has made it past Dark Legacy...>.>;;;

I LOVE the old arcade one, but when they turned it 3D, it started murdering it. Now...DS?...This looks like a watered down Dark Legacy...yuck. I hope I am utterly mistaken.
