Hacking Gateway Question! Please help! :)

Hi there, I just dumped my own private online header, just want to ask some questions. I am on version 9.2:-

1. IS there any chance that Nintendo might do so that we have to update our console and then only we can access internet on 3ds? If so, what is the best option to do now to run Gateway?

2. I have played Pokemon and some other games without header, so, when I just put the header on that rom, I think the save file will get corrupted. So, what I can I do to retain my save? And, can I do the same method on all games?

3. Is there any way, after creating emunand to retain saves of legitimate (cias) ?

4. If I would have to downgrade, what do you think should I do first, create emunand and then downgrade or vice-versa?

5. Can Nintendo see that whether we are using DS Profile Exploit when on Sysnand 4.5?

6. After creating and unlinking the Sysnand and Emunand, does the friend code changes?

1: No one knows. But Pokemon and some other games now check to see if you're running the latest system software before letting you go online.

2: You would use SaveDataFiler to backup your .3ds saves and inject then into the .3DZ versions.


3: emuNAND is a complete copy of your sysNAND so any legitimate .cias you have will work on it, just backup your entire SD card before formatting.

4: Create emuNAND, then downgrade.

5: No.

6: Friend code stays the same on emuNAND.

1: Yes, just be sure to delete the secure data for the ROM before importing the other .3DZ save.

2: A simple copy/paste will restore your games and saves.

I thought card-1 .3DZ saves are tied to the header? so just renaming them would case a mismatch with the ROM right?

The only issues that arise from downgrading is if the OP ever ran a 6.x+ encryption game on sysNAND and wants to continue using it on Gateway.

I do know how to downgrade, my last question was this:- If I just downgrade my console, I would not be able to use the saves of 6.x encryption of eshop games on 4.x console neither the Gateway saves? But, Can I use them and the Gateway games saves by using savedatafilter?
