This raise a concern about why they not used multirom in this demonstration. But maybe is because they want a shot video. I hope.
Because they're only going to give a video demonstration of a feature when it's ready and fully functioning. There won't be any need for a video for multi-rom because that's the last feature that needs to be completed before 2.0 final can be released. This video demonstrates that both NAND compatibility and real-time saving are working and ready to go.This raise a concern about why they not used multirom in this demonstration. But micro sds are ridiculously cheap nowadays. Swapping micro sds isn't much more of a hassle than swapping retail game cartridges, and with rpgs like pokemon you probably wont be swapping games that much anyways. Gateway is supporting their card rather well. No multirom support isn't a big deal for me. So you can feel bad for me all you want, and in the meantime I'll be enjoying my 3DS.I'm talking about mass produced retail backup devices.
Guess you were quoting the other guy, but I already debunked that claim as well. It's one of the most basic features, and the fact customers have had to wait 6 months for it is ridiculous. I feel bad for anyone who went and stockpiled microSD cards.

So much petty drama over relatively inexpensive flashcarts, I LOVE IT!
I had fallen out of the scene for the past few years, but Gateway and the other clones have rekindled my interest in this community. Reminds me of old times.
In the modding community, the releases are never set on a date, due to companies releasing software trying to prevent hacks and other complications. It's not easy for them at all.
Either you accept that, or just quit and buy your games. The modding community will not miss u by a longshot.
omg shutup you spoiled little kid! less than a year ago we couldnt play backups and didnt even know if we would beable to play them for years. In 6months gateway has accompoished so much region free, 100% game compablity emunand, and your complaining about muitrom omg plz this stuff takes coding and time but you wouldnt know that becuase you are some spolied little kid who knows nothing about hacking and coding people like you give pirates a bad name so plz shutup!!
I'm probably old enough to have fathered you. You're a clueless noob who thinks multiboot is an advanced feature in the scene. Quit with the Gateway worship, WE are their customers, they owe US. They put in the highest bid to make use of the exploit found, that's what it boils down to. Let me know after you've been keeping up with this stuff since the SNES days.
I'm probably old enough to have fathered you and have been hacking about with various pieces of hardware for a while now - before the first moon-landing anyway - but I don't presume that hardware manufacturers owe me anything other than what I bought at the time. If new features come along then that's great but if they don't then I don't scream 'I want my money back!' like you seem intent on doing. That is NOT how the hacking scene has EVER been and to claim otherwise is wrong. Gateway and the others do not owe you or I ANYTHING, except the product we bought, as it was when we bought it.I'm probably old enough to have fathered you. Now if this were an entirely free softmod, you would have a point, but it's not. This isn't the Wii, this isn't the PSP, this is retail hardware that people pay money for and in return expect support. If it doesn't come soon, then I will take advantage of my return period, that's all I've said. Which is fine for Gateway and the retailer as well, someone like you who likes swapping microSD's back and forth will snatch it up for $80 and think he's got something amazing. Meanwhile I will watch movies on Netflix and wait for the price to drop, or buy the next best cart. Or, if they finally release a FW supporting multiboot within my warranty period, I will keep it. It's not that hard to understand. I honestly wonder why anyone cares. Possibly because they can't do the same?
why do you all end derailing topic's subjects?
instead of talking about an announced feature, you prefer bitching and whining over something you don't have, that you deserves unreleased feature because you are paying for it (yeah, you should sell back your product because it doesn't work like YOU want).
Should we really have to create a topic where everyone can cry and insult flashcart's devs ?
I saw them nearly a decade ago. I've been around my good son. I was loading DS games from GBA flash carts via passme. I never said anything about tedious methods, only multirom. And technically the passme with GBA carts wasn't an official backup device, so even though you wrote a single game to the cart at once, it was because you were using a flash cart from a completely different console to do so, which when used with said console, supported multiboot from the get go.

So you've been following instructions and making online purchases for flashcarts since a decade ago. I guess that makes you an expert on hacking and the programming knowledge needed to implement multirom. I can only imagine the amount of exploits and code you had to write to stick the cartridge in the gba slot and play backups.
I'm returning my Gateway if the FW doesn't come out within a week. I'll rebuy when the price drops and MR is actually supported. Or I will buy a dirt cheap clone. What I'm not going to do is sit here WAITING to use it. Without multirom, the cart is virtually useless. I get sick and tired of games within minutes.
I'm probably old enough to have fathered you.
All I ever made was a simple statement: "If they don't release in a week, I am returning my Gateway". Serious LOLs at anyone who takes that personally or throws a fit over my personal decision to weigh the options. Beats the feeling of uncertainty about what the Gateway or team of whoever is capable of. I guarantee you this, the place I bought the fucking thing from isn't going to bitch and moan about my decision, prove me wrong or call me names. And they're the ones who have anything at stake. Course it doesn't really matter, because it's the same shop I will be using when I do make a final decision.
What I'm saying really isn't offensive or shouldn't be. Basically I'm just plucking strings to pass the time, and man is it ever fun.
