Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a new progress update on my shiny mod for Pokémon Rumble Blast. Development has slowed a bit over the past couple of weeks, but the project is now getting very close to completion.
I’ve also included a short preview video showing the current features (with shiny rate set to 1/2, so expect lots of shinies
).
You can try it out right now—the patch is available on GitHub in the repository called pokemon-rumble-blast-shiny-mod. I can’t post a direct link yet since my account is still new, but you should be able to find it easily. There’s also a guide in the repo that explains how to patch the ROM.

Current Features
- Fully implemented shiny models – Pokémon now appear correctly as shiny variants in-game
- Configurable shiny rates – Adjust encounter odds to your liking
- Reliable shiny drops – Shinies now consistently drop after defeating them (this took a lot of work to track down!)
- Updated UI elements
- Unique shiny icons
- Blue-colored names for shiny Pokémon
- Collection tracking – Shiny Pokémon are marked with a star once obtained
- Stage results screen – Shinies display correctly after being caught
What’s Left
- Remaining models & textures (~480 Pokémon left)
- This process is manual, so progress here is steady but slow
Known Issue
- On game startup, your equipped shiny Pokémon may briefly appear as its normal model
- Only occurs on the first spawn after launch
- Workaround: switch Pokémon and switch back
- Low priority since it's quick to fix in-game
