Hacking Gateway and Japanese 3ds Activity Log?

Hello everyone just a quick question that I can't find any info on.
I'm curious if I play a JP 3ds game on my US 3ds does my activity log show that I played the JP game and the name/info all correct in JP? I care a lot about my playtimes but its no gamebreaker if my playtime and such is not logged.

Just curious since I bought a gateway to play my Japanese games on my US 3ds and my US games on N3DS. Someone awhile back told me it SHOULD work but that was before Gateway had region free and all so we didn't know what it was truly capable of. I don't have my gateway until Saturday or Monday so I can't try it myself.

it will show in the playlog, ANY region will show, it's not japanese/usa specific.
sometimes the playlog cannot display the game's name, but usually it can. (for something i have noticed the game name is blank, etc, but most were fine)
