Just download and transfer to micro SD. If the rom is bigger than 2GB you have to use the tool provided to split it.
I think you mean that if you are using a FAT32 SD card and have a ROM bigger than 4GB it will need to be split.Just download and transfer to micro SD. If the rom is bigger than 2GB you have to use the tool provided to split it.

If you are using SDHC use FAT32We have to do this with FAT32 only? I have a 32gb card, what one i could put on it? normal fat?
If you are using SDHC use FAT32
If you are using SDXC use exFAT
(Keep in mind, that's only for the red card. I explained above what to do for 3DS.)
So i WILL need to use FAT32 AND split 4gb games?
FAT32 has a maximum file size of 4GB so yes you will need to split the file.
You can but it is not recommended by Gateway team.I just can't trim? To delete unused data on the game and put it on the SD Card?

no, just trim them, there are no 4GB games that can't be trimmed to fit on a fat32 formatted card, but you can use exfat on any card you like doesnt matter if its SDHC or SDXC.....the gateway card accepts fat32 or exfat, but the 3DS will only work with fat32So i WILL need to use FAT32 AND split 4gb games?

You can use exFAT on red card. But the 32GB card, did it come preformatted as exFAT or did you format it as exFAT and it came out of the factory as FAT32?I have a 32GB card formatted to exFAT. I believe it is SDHC. Can I not use exFAT?
