Hacking Gateway 3ds installer not working

Just bought the gateway 3ds from realhotstuff
I downloaded the latest firmware 2.1
My 3ds is 4.5.0-10u.
I put the correct files onto my micro sd and sd cards

But whenever I try to run the blue card installer, I get an error forcing me to restart my 3ds.

I have looked around and people suggest using the dstwo, which I have, but same error

I tried a different micro sd card, same issue.

Any advice?
I've used an 8gb sandisk microsd and a. 32gb gskill micro sd
My system is for sure on 4.5
I'm formatting the cards on fat32

I've a been trying for the past 3 hours, I even formatted my 3ds.

sounds like a bricked DS mode. Formatting the console "should" of fixed it :S

Does playing NDS roms on the DSTwo card work? That would mean ds mode isn't bricked. And are you sure it's the right nds installer.nds on your blue card? You could try the multikernel of one of the gbatemp which has the installer already in it.

Before formatting your 3DS and losing everything you have, you could try modifying your username in profile. Change it to something else, and try running the installer again.

It was like a bunch of compounded issues.
