So, you have to buy a separate SD card for each game you want to play, and you have to use an additional piece of equipment (which I'm going to assume will not be included with this, but for convenience's sake just possibly might) in order to swap save files around to play different games with it. This means that the most portable way to play multiple games with this will require a laptop or something to carry with you and switch the save files before you can switch the SD card to a different game you want to play. Am I correct so far?

I'm not really understanding this at all. I mean, I bought a DSTT card for my DS Lite. I like using it because it's more convenient to keep multiple games in one card and just pick one from a menu instead of carrying around thirty different games in a package and digging through them for the one I want. All of the hassle for setting up a game on this card seems like an awful amount of work, and since you have to buy a different SD card for each game, you're not saving all that much money, are you? (I'm running off U.S. rates, since that's where I live. Ignore me if you live in a country like Brazil as brought up above. I understand that situation.) So, what exactly is the appeal to this particular flash-cart anyways? It seems like much more trouble than it's worth to be a convenience for carrying your game library, and the fact that you have to purchase individual SD cards makes it seem rather pointless for pirating.

as garyOPA mentioned in his thread in maxconsoles, it is only a early video without the "game manager".

I will buy a 3DS, but I think I will pass on this. To me, it seems like you would be wasting more energy with this method than just going out and buying the official cart itself, that doesn't mean that I don't like it, just wish it had a way to safely extract the save file to the SD card the rom is on, and then implant it back to the location its supposed to be stored on the game card before you start playing the game. If they COULD find that out, then it would probably be worth having all the multiple SD cards.

fake and gay

Actually im trying to figure out why google is bringing up NOTHING about this...
err, it's a good thing Google did not indexed it ( yet ).
In order to find shit on google it needs to get indexed you know,
it's up to the website devs how a page can be found through a search machine, via html meta tags.

So it's NOT so obvious you can find ANYTHING with google.
In fact SOME pages with material that is not for the mainstream public cannot be found via any search machine, lol.
You will need the exact url.

Will be selling if its legit...! Too bad there's not detailed info yet.
How about the 3ds enabler? Not sure if anybody notice it was off so I wonder it you'll be able to see them 3d or that's asking for too much? Lol :b

Do you ship outside US? If this thing comes out I will buy at your site! :)

ohh....why can't we get a 3DS flash cart with multirom loading like the R4 or Acekard 2i or the Super Card DSTwo. Seriously how hard would it actually be to program that in there!? I mean hell it plays 3DS dumps so instead of having one game on a 16GB or 8GB why not like 5 or 6 or more!? hey just saying lol!

Yeah.

I'm wondering about the price too but I have a feeling it would be expensive. Before selling I myself will test one out because I'm not going to invest on something that might not work or is fake advertisement etc and risk losing money, I mean if its fake that company could easily just not send the items from ppl who purchase from them.

Crown 3ds never came around. And a lot of sites were doing pre orders which I think is dumb if you don't have full details and information on how a product works and how legit it is why start offering to your customers?
Just my opinion T_T

It's a start... Give it time.
Also I guess they manage to make more money with updates little by little or simply making other products afterwards rofl

Yeah, that would be terrible if this thing is a fake, but I will not give up since I've been waiting it for months -_-

Well I already spoke with one of my suppliers... I was told it isn't fake... But that there's a lot of teams working on carts at the moment and that something better will come out... Eventually. And like others said a lot of clones will come out once this is released as well so....

But yep it's real. Just need more info on how it works etc !!

becuase your clearly an idiot
the 3DS isnt hacked, all these things to is just run the official code
without people having the Encryption Keys you cannot run or load anything different
so feel free to ask Nintendo for there encryption Key and then make such a thing
DS Flashcard and 3DS flashcards are not the same thing, the DS we have to key and can add our own stuff into it
without a 3DS hack we cannot, this is purely a method of loading bootleg downloads from a SD card
its like saying "why can we put like 10 different games on a Wii disc and expect them to load without a hack"

No matter how you guys look down upon it, still i can not wait to get one gateway-3DS card, it did make a big progressing since Crown3DS released its video at the end of 2011 anyway.

So it's only one rom per SD-card right? What if you had a 32GB card with a few roms and DS homebrew that let you switch which one is the one being booted (I'm imagining here that the rom getting booted has a specific name so the DS homebrew would just rename files), do you think that would be possible?

You're confusing hard drive and SD card sizes. SD cards only lose storage space due to the file system that is used (fat32).
An SD card is nothing more than flash chips and hardware to access it serially. Flash memory comes in correctly sized divisions (256MB is actually 256 * 1024 Bytes):
http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/25022A.pdf
Sorry, but you are the confused one here.

1) 256 MB is actually 256*1000*1000 B
256*1024 B are 256 KiB

2) SDcards are not raw flash chips
there are for example the the secure area, wear leveling, write akregation and defect manegement
all of them adding some complexity and using some space

3) link talks about raw flash chips not SDcards

4) I'm not talking about any filesystem. I'm talking about the block device presented to the OS

5) SDcards are neither powers of two nor ten
Some of my sd cards:
15462400 512-byte logical blocks: (7.91 GB/7.37 GiB)
15523840 512-byte logical blocks: (7.94 GB/7.40 GiB)
61863936 512-byte logical blocks: (31.6 GB/29.4 GiB)
62333952 512-byte logical blocks: (31.9 GB/29.7 GiB)

Crown3DS was kind of a fake to me... In the video the only showed one game. It could easily be the game's cartridge hooked up to some cables and that's all.

Highly unlikely for now, I think. This is just like a fake cartridge, no homebrew or custom code is being run here.
