Ok...I have a feeling there next release will be when they have support for +9.5 emunand...or just a way to downgrade.

They didn't say anything specific about support +9.5 emunand on N3DS. Maybe they have some ideas around it, but they clearly didn't promise anything. And being able to download from 10.3 doesn't necessarily mean it comes as well.

they said sysnand 10.3, that implies emunand 10.3 too

Not necessarily ... memchunkhax 2 is a ARM11 exploit, which is not suited for CFW stuff -> this means they COULD prepare new downgrade packs and use their built-in option to install them.

The only options for a true 10.3 CFW are either ntrcardhax, which MIGHT be possible thanks to their blue card, but I don't know how they would pull that off, because they would have to update the bootstrap for each and every blue card iteration they have (check my thread about the different blue card PCBs).
Or they use arm9loaderhax, but it's a mess and probably not for the masses, because you have to try a shitload of keys to hit one which decrypt the garbage data into a branch instruction for the hax to work. This means a lot of NAND writes and I don't know they would pull it off for a consumer product. You probably need a way to write to the NAND with hardware, which no one probably is going to do to try.

But I might be wrong about the understanding of arm9loaderhax.

Fact is, they didn't announce anything about newer emuNAND support for N3DS.

I am the only for who the cheats search work pretty bad? Tried to find some cheats for "Dragon Ball Z - Extreme Butouden" and it always freeze the system at the end of the ram comparison. As I read in Gateway 3.6.2 changelog that they fixed some freeze during the cheats search, I just retried and again, it freezed.

For example, I was trying to find an infinite time cheats, so I select "8-bits value" search and then input the timer value and then it freeze before the end. Not sure it's releated to the "8-bits value" as I also tried "16-bits" on other games and the same happened. Would it be less compatible with .cia games ? (as I only tried with .cia ones). Am I doing it wrong? (but I never got any problem to find cheats on Zsnes for example, but Zsnes seems to handle them differently as it also have the choice "greater/lower value" when Gateway doesn't seem to have any).

Thanks a lot.

Pretty sure it'll be limited to O3DS/2DS. Which doesn't mean they won't have a way to downgrade a N3DS but even if they have one, I don't except them to support 9.5+ emunand on N3DS or they would have probably already confirmed it.

It would be nice to be able to have support for 9.5+ emunand on N3DS but I don't except it at all, even if I think that if it happen one day, it'll most probably come from them.

many games i have tried with it is fine, but happy home designer i have had problems with, freezing, cursor in the menu too fast, screen graphical glitches...
i have not tried it with the latest 3.6.2 though

I've tried finding my own cheats for Binding of Isaac, but it freezes when I try to exit the cheat menu or during searches. 20 out of 20 times it froze on me, so I have given up. It seems that certain games just are not compatible with the gateway cheat function. This was tested with 3.6.2.

It's locking up on me when I do the second search/compare on Badge Arcade on my N3DS. Wondering if it's because these games are cryptofixed? Want to point out it didn't lock up on earlier releases.

I think the reason for freezing is that the search feature is really buggy. Hopefully, GW will fine tune it to get rid of the bugs for all games.
The Badge Arcade has been a bit or miss for me. I've tried on a O3ds twice which it froze both times during search. On my O3dsxl, I was able to successfully search and find the offset for the practice tries, but it froze during the search for real plays. You should try using the offsets for your version found by others in the Badge Arcade cheat thread. I haven't had the freezing issue yet while applying the cheats.

I hope so too, but a good cheat engine isn't easy to make and there are probably not that many people working for GW, so this will take a few more updates to work properly :D
I'm also experiencing a lot of bugs here and there, especially saving my freshly found cheats doesn't seem to work which is a big bummer :(

personally on both o3ds/n3ds, badge center had no problems.
but i said before, happy home designer did. maybe 3.6.2 fixed it.

when i have many cheats, i can get problems, some cheats don't 'work' etc.
when i disable some cheats, they still stick in the select screen (maybe they are still enabled too, i forget)
or, they are removed but not perfectly, and you can see the remains in the cheat editor.
some cheats will mix together and do weird stuff lol.
if i go in the cheat editor, select the line and press A to edit, then X (to clear), this clears that line and if i do that for all the left over cheats that didn't get removed, the cheats are ok again :)

For me Isaac crashed 1/4 times on N3DS. Haven't been able to filter out any adress because it always crashes around the 4th time leaving the Gateway cheat menu

Save a game without having to exit to home menu ... some people say that this is already implemented, some don't ... anyone knows more?

I though it was the case for Card2 games (but not Card1), unless I'm mistaken ?

Also, it should be better to have Card1 saves on the microSD inside GW card, using ROM name instead of titleID (e.g. ROM_NAME.sav) : this way we could have all saves in the same place, and we could have multiple saves (1 per distinct ROM file name) for same Card1 Game which offers only 1 save.

I still don't understand why they were not able to redirect Card1 EEPROM writes to microSD just like they redirect Card2 Nand writes.

Who gives a fuck?

We can already downgrade from 10.3 to 9.2, then you can use one of the existing free CFWs. :yay3ds:

At this stage the only reason to look forward to Gateway supporting 10.3 is that it'll mean 9.6+ emuNAND for us new3DS users.
can "already" downgrade? how? anything been released yet that I don't know of? is it true for N3ds as well?

The OP on that thread hasn't been updated since Sunday night. There was a lot of pain people experienced on Monday with "after-affects" from the downgrade. Be sure to read the thread developments.

I've got two N3DS >9.2, but I'm waiting-and-seeing. The posts from Monday confirm the system is in a "not complete" downgraded state. So you may end up being worse-off by jumping to do the downgrade now.

Is anybody aware of any future possibility of using n3ds only buttons in gateway cheat keys or home brew?
