I am getting there, just getting back into the 'scene' groove, I should have some New 3DS news early next week.

This week been hell, I had to move my office into a new building on Monday, and then on Tuesday we had an 5.0 earthquake, followed by two almost as large aftershocks, and lost all my power/internet/water until late last night, lucky no damage to my building or barrio, just some deaths in the saltmines.

Now catching up to all my emails and PM's and all the crazy whining posts I have missed reading.

Stay Tuned.

.......one word. Woah.
That seriously is one hell of a week.

Rest well. You deserve it.

anybody know the firmware the New nintendo 3ds will come with in the US?

More than likely the European consoles will ship with 9.0 (which is what all Australian consoles have and still do ship with). Unsure about the US ones though, but I very much doubt any will be running on 9.3/9.4 out of box.

Some early US adopter stated that he had to update his console when he booted it up.
This means that it was either 9.3 or 9.2 and below

There's some educated guesses based on the consoles the reviewers have received and such. It seems probable that they will come with either 9.0 or 9.2.

It's only probable, not a 100% guarantee. It's possible the reviewers get special N3DS which is different from the ones going on sale Feb 13. The only people who know with complete certainty are retail owners who already have the N3DS in their stores, and of course Nintendo

Exactly, and I think most people are betting on 9.2 or even 9.0. Sucks because I wanted a N3DS regular so I had to import one. But I guess whatever, I just wish I could have a N3DS in english for an affordable price. I am willing to take a $80-90 discount to deal with Japanese menus vs the AUS and now EU model.

Although, like above mentioned, the review units may not be the ones being shipped to retailers. It us likely to be 9.0-9.2, but it is also possible the review units were made first and part of or all of the shipped retail units are on higher FW.

But for them to be able to sell them so soon, That means this is old stock. And old stock= Old firmware

My Ambassador EU N3DS came with 9.0.0-20E pre installed

Format sysnand (if you are below fw 5.0) or emunand and your problem is gone.

The method you mentioned is for firmwares 4.1-4.5.

The one the rest of us are doing is to put the launcher into the root of the 3DS's SD, then going to a website to activate the exploit, which from there we launch into GW mode.

Then why would I need a Gateway? Can't I just place my 3ds games onto the SD?
