Gaming games that "ooze" quality

if you've been reading my posts here,you might have noticed that this season I'm playing time hollow and suikoden tierkris on the ds....both great games that really scream QUALITY!
from the game's awesome music(both of them) to the beatiful pre-rendered backgrounds of suikoden and the finely hand-drawn graphics of time hollow paired together with 2 awesome storylines,both games really are the epitome of quality ds gaming(for me at least).

are there any games that from the first 10 minutes,the first glance you shot at the game you said "damn....this is a quality ds game...should be more out there like this one!"?

I really want to know!

Meh. I don't care too much about presentation value like that. Voice acting, pretty backgrounds, and average music doesn't make a game good, it takes time to learn about a good story, and it takes time to judge the repetitiveness of gameplay.

Pretty much any first party game really just has a lot of quality.

Two games I find really beautiful and I think ooze quality and allow me to over look any annoyances in them are Rune Factory 2 and Avalon Code. They both have Yoshifumi Hashimoto involved in the design and especially in RF2 it really is so lovely to look at, I'd never enjoyed Harvest Moon games before but as soon as I switched this on I knew I had to try and get into it and I did.

Well, I felt that with Time Hollow as well! (wasn't there a spiritual sequel?)

Other games that gave me that "holy shiiiiiiit"-feeling was:
Layton 1 & 2... the graphic style is amazing! So is the frenchy music.

Hmm.. I actually can't think of any more right now!

Well, maybe this is why you didn't like it?

To be honest, I didn't like the game myself either, but I gave it one or two hours... but I never got into it, but since everyone thinks it's so good, I'll try it again some day.
But to judge a game after a couple of mintues isn't really fair IMO.

the world ends with you can put off many people with graphic style...it's not exactly what you'd call normal...

I really liked the story,fast-paced action and battles and the sense of impending doom as the week ends...now that I think about it,the same thing was happening in devil survivor which is btw another great game!

too damn hard for its own good though....
