Hacking Games install but do not start

Switch 7.0.1, atmo 0.8.4, I have all the patches in the atmo folder.

Almost all of my games are in XCI format. If I use NSC builder to convert them to NSP they install but when I run the game it starts and lets me select my account but I get an error saying it couldn't run and to try again. If I try again it says it's corrupt. If I use 4NXCI to convert it the game seems to install and start normally. The only difference I see is 4NXCI creates an XML file which NSC doesn't seem to add. I have only tried Portal Knights. I've seen many people recommend using NSC builder but it doesn't seem to work for me. Is there a config option I need to set? I tried using n1dus to install the XCI but it fails immediately after starting. All the games I actually own I cannot play, if I download any game it works without having to do anything.

I downloaded them multiple times and it doesn't help. Why would I not need sig patches if I use 4NXCI but need them for NSC builder?

Because you need sigpatches to fake signatures (which all nsps require)?

Am I supposed to do something different than merge them in the atmosphere folder?

So If i use 4NXCI I can just forget about sig patches? Seems wierd since both require me to enter the konami code to install UNSIGNED code

I have put the sigpatches in the following layout on my sd card running 7.0.1:

es_patches are in atmosphere\exefs_patches\
fs_patches are in atmosphere\kip patches\

I use 4NXCI with my 6.2 prod.keys and that allows me to convert XCI to NSP

Hi guys seems I am a few steps behind you and cannot find a guide for install backups. I have the sigpatches downloaded but am missing a step in that I have no software to install games. Can anyone point me to a guide they have used or followed for Atmosphere user on firmware 7.0.0/7.0.1. thanks

Devmenu, tinfoil with keys and latest godlleaf 0.5 will work.

you're having issues because you used converted xci to nsp, atmosphere doesn't like converted nsps as much as official ones..
