Hacking Gamecube Loader 0.2 Problem

Hi, I have been looking all over for an answer to my problem but still have not resolved it, it seems as if everything I do has a problem

. Anyway, my problem is, I am trying to get Gamecube Loader 0.2 to boot my games of my DVD-R's. I have tried two brands of DVD-Rs, Memorex (which have worked perfectly for my PS2 games) and Fujifilm. I first tried booting a MultiGames iso which came up as an error message saying, Failed to read DVD 263 0x3023a00 error no disk. Then, I tried booting a normal iso (not multiboot) and got the same error. I have now wasted 6 DVD-Rs. I am using ImgBurn and have tried the speeds 1x, 8x, and 16x. I keep getting the same error and am getting pretty frustrated. What am I doing wrong! I just want to play my gamecube backups! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have any working backups on discs, wii games or gc games doesn't matter.

Is your Wii black? If yes, it won't read any DVD-Rs.

Is your Wii white and from christmas 2009 or later? If yes, the chance is high it won't ever read DVD-Rs same as black Wiis.

No, I have been using USB Loader GX for all of my Wii backups and have not managed to get any gamecube backups loaded. I have a white Wii that I recently bought (about a month ago) but it didn't come with Wii Sports Resort and was on system menu 4.2 when I got it. I don't really know if it is from christmas 2009 or later though.... Also, I'll try you suggestion now. Thanks.

new wiis do USB fine but DVD-R is impossible
judging from the date + 4.2 id guess its a new one

maybe open it up and read the dvd drive chip id
but only if your comfortable with such things

look around the internet if you find any other identification methods

It's fine and I'm definitely not comfortable with that, haha. So I'll look around the internet and post back if I find something.

On christmas 2009 the 1st white Wiis with the new drives were spotted. The later your bought your Wii from there, the higher the chance it won't read DVD-Rs.

Probably none.... that stinks but I'm lucky I even found a semi old one... So anyway, I downloaded Neogamma R9 Beta and when I go to boot a DVD it starts by saying "Loading Game Init drive...", then an error message says, "DVD Err(1178) disk id", after a few seconds another error says, " unknown drive, report 20080714".

So that means there is no way for me to play my gamecube backups on my wii at all? (besides WODE)..... I really want someone to develop a USB loader for gamecube games now!
