Buy a genuine Hori protector. Nothing else is worth it, even if it's free. Trust me.

For the upper screen you can use anything you want but for the touch screen, a quality made one like Hori is a necessity. They are very durable and doesn't scratch easily like the others.

The DSi ones that say they're legit are legit. At least mine were.
Mine haven't scratched at all, I swear.
But you could just go buy the DS Lite Hori protectors from PlayAsia. (more expensive though, $6.90 + $2.99 shipping where I live
