Hacking game save when updating firmware

hi all just a quick question to any one who may be able to help but was wondering when using akaio firmware when you update do you lose all your games saves or ar ethey automatically updated with firmware or is there another way to keep them any help grateful thanks

when you update your firmware, only the _aio folder and akmenu4.nds are changed.

You games, homebrew and saves will remain intact.

Your saves are kept in the same place as your roms. So no they wouldn't be erased since the firmware is the _aio folder and akmenu4.nds file.
