I just saw this video and I was thinking, wouldn't it be possible to adapt the Gameboy player to the Wii? Not that mGBA is excellent (which I actually consider the best GB, GBC and GBA emulator for Wii and that it even supports accessories in addition to the games running exactly like on GBA and I wish the team would make DS for Wii) but because of the fact that it is real GBA hardware and the Wii is backwards compatible with NGC

Not unless you can magically connect it to the EXI bus and write drivers for it.

EXI is not anywhere fast enough. It originally connected to the SDR SDRAM bus, which was replaced with (incompatible) GDDR3 SDRAM on the Wii.

Hmm... Now I'm tempted to design a 3D-printed shell to make myself a discless GameCube about half as thicc. Nintendo GameSlab, anyone?
